Pretty good so far. Yelling at the TV. They have 3 goals from 3 uncontested marks. Weid in big trouble, was praying that kosi kicked it to him in the square. Need to stop all the talks going for the same mark! -
The system needs to return. The selection depends on the fitness of Viney, Salem, Melksham. BBB had a bad day at Casey today. Hard to see Weid performing with the best defender on him. If Weid plays it must be up the field tagging with TMac. BBB comes in as the deep forward threat that frees up the others. Less space, under the roof, 10 feet tall BBB

Seemed to lack pressure and couldn't nail the tackles which left our defenders exposed. Salem was a massive out. So composed with the ball in hand and behind many of our attacking plays.

The old man said to me earlier today. "At my funeral, I want the Melbourne Football Club players to lower my coffin into the grave, so they can let me down one last time" Not up to it today. At least it was a team effort (apart from Clarry) Interested in seeing what comes of The Great Reset!

I have been listening to Daisy P on SEN. and she has a really good tactical brain. We would normally associate fast scoring with success but this is a tactic that will not hold up against strong defences. Controlling the ball when the ball enters your backline and using it well on the rebound with skill and spread. Tempo and calmness is your successful outcome. Playing your role and selflessness is your mission statement. The Best game I ever saw was between Geelong and Essendon when salmon kicked 10 and Ablett Snr kicked about 14 goals 6! We will never see scoring like that again! -

The poor start against GWS was a worry! But once again we controlled the game after that. It will be a great test when they play against us at the G. Greene is good! -
My condolences to you THT

It is a strange feeling going to the game and expecting us to find a way to win when challenged. I am beginning to think that we are building for the Buildog challenge and that it will be the game where we hit 4th gear!
-
I was thinking how his analysis could be really good for us.

Looks like Carlton are playing one on one

Seem to be playing through Gus?

Hird said in an interview once that he didn't like it when Sheeds pulled him off!

Max played an almost perfect game against the Hawks. He was dominant and unstoppable. It was joyful to hear the groans of the hawks supporters every time he marked it. -
Looks like Sam will be at the G!

It will be interesting as we have signed up our core group for an extended period. Perhaps this will be a free hit to pick up mature role players or overlooked young draftees?

I was thinking the same thing at the ground. Where has our forward connection gone? After watching the replay I saw the old problems of sending kicks forward to no one's advantage. Fortunately BBB and TMAC were great with their contested marking and that made the difference. BBB was playing around the ground v Box Hill and is required to do more than stand in the square and jump at the ball. I think that all the forwards are expected to be mobile and cover the ground. It gives us more options when moving the ball forward and also makes our forward line difficult to handle
