The poor start against GWS was a worry! But once again we controlled the game after that. It will be a great test when they play against us at the G. Greene is good!

It is a strange feeling going to the game and expecting us to find a way to win when challenged. I am beginning to think that we are building for the Buildog challenge and that it will be the game where we hit 4th gear!

Max played an almost perfect game against the Hawks. He was dominant and unstoppable. It was joyful to hear the groans of the hawks supporters every time he marked it.

I was thinking the same thing at the ground. Where has our forward connection gone? After watching the replay I saw the old problems of sending kicks forward to no one's advantage. Fortunately BBB and TMAC were great with their contested marking and that made the difference. BBB was playing around the ground v Box Hill and is required to do more than stand in the square and jump at the ball. I think that all the forwards are expected to be mobile and cover the ground. It gives us more options when moving the ball forward and also makes our forward line difficult to handle

I was happy that the poor umpiring was not going to effect the result. We seemed to be singled out for HTB and our players didn't appear to have heads when they didn't get frees for too high. It seemed that the swans goals came by accident where ours came from marks inside 50. The swans were using our tactics against us. Easily the best team we have played this year. We definitely got GWS and Geelong at the right time. I am looking forward to our return games against those 2. They will tell us alot about the "New Demons"

I didn't notice the push that Trac did which put Powell in fritters path. Reminded me of the push of the crows player into viney and the outcry that followed that hearing!

I would like to see the talls who play come up and down the ground and take the marks on the wing. I understand the concern about Brown being slow and out of touch but I think the way they worked at Casey v Box Hill could be replicated. Brown was quite good around the ground when weid kicked the goals. I don't think the plan is for anyone to stay entirely in the 50. I think that just clogs up the space for koz, spargo and fritsch

Very concerned that everything is going our way. Usually does not bode well! Hoping the 2021 demons are the real deal
