  1. Remember this game very well. Not quite sure why, but I went into it very confident of a good win - It was Round 2 that (rightfully) had me concerned. Despite the pre-season optimism, I don't think even the optimistic posters saw Clayton Oliver coming. Huge 4th quarter by Watts and Hogan.
  2. I know very little of Hogan’s issues. What it seem, to a complete outsider, is that being in WA has not been good for him. If he wanted to come back (ala Trent Croad) I would welcome him with open arms.
  3. Yep - love a good knife!
  4. That was unbelievably good. Really honest and interesting insights.
  5. Additions I'd deem worthy: David Neitz 306 games 2 x All Australians Adem Yze 271 games 1 x All Australian Max Gawn 121* games 3 x All Australian
  6. Going way too early.
  7. Yep. The OMac bashers aren’t big on specific examples this week. Credit where credit’s due - he was very solid yesterday.
  8. Let them have it. We got Pickett.
  9. People potting OMac clearly went into the match with a pre-conceived idea and outcome. He played well today against one of the best 2 pronged forward lines in the competition. Not a star, but was very solid down back today. Lockhart was great - he can hopefully play the whole season down back this year. Kossie - he has 'IT'; a quality that we haven't had at the club for a longtime. No matter what happens with the draft this year, we made the right choice trading into the first round with North - he's gonna be a player. Bedford - great pace and pressure. Not completely convinced, but showed that he could be a contributor. May - didn't stand out with the ball in hand, but blanketed Kennedy, and that hasn't happened very often before. Viney - responded brilliantly. Captaincy aside, he is playing like he was before his injury. He's completed a pre-season and now he's showing us the form and ability that won him the Best and Fairest and the captaincy in the first place.
  10. IN: Salem, Jones, Weideman OUT: ANB, Spargo, Brown
  11. Are you thinking of Kemp? Green’s always been ready-made.
  12. In the time of great uncertainty, it nice to see that some things never change.
  13. Lever has been touted as a future captain since his underage footy years. However, I believe he’d need to put in a few years of consistent, injury free football to prove that his body is up to it.
  14. Without looking at his stats, he’s a very good kick for goal and underrated for his creativity and vision. Veru good, underrated kick... not our best though.
  15. I thought this was a joke at first, but it's true! He's actually going to the rugby tonight! Scotty has completely lost the plot.
  16. Our bookends, in May and T.McDonald, are very important to our team, but there is no one who can come close to replacing Gawn.
  17. Better than most years... https://www.theroar.com.au/afl/afl-free-agents/
  18. Fair enough opinion - but I did have a chuckle imagining someone yelling this, especially the "UNFORTUNATELY"
  19. His bona fides actually show that he's never been an All Australian. The only award of note that he's ever won was a mark of the year... when playing for us.
  20. FWIW - quite a few of those New Balance items are cheaper if you purchase them through the club (demonshop) website.
  21. Quarantine Fremantle and the last team they played for Round 1.
  22. Contact from his knee to the Richmond player - definitely intentional. Cameron wanting to make contact with his head - doubtful.
  23. The kids got some talent - move like Pendlebury at times. Absolutely no rush though. He'd be about 10kg off his playing weight and should spend the year developing in the kitchen, gym and VFL.
  24. Other than being a former All Australian.. what exactly does Hibberd contribute to the team? If the round one choice is between him and Lockhart, the choice is pretty clear.
