Hi all. I have run a Demonland Supercoach league the past two seasons and we currently have 14/18 teams registered for 2024. I plan to give the 4 coaches yet to re-join until 5pm Friday and if there are any spots left will open them up to any newcomers who wish to join. Good write up. The way I'm viewing Brayshaw this year is like he did an ACL, which could happen to anyone. We would have to find a replacement in that instance for the 2024 season. From 2025 on we will have the salary cap to go and find someone from another club if we feel the need. This is not diminishing the loss of Gus, which is massive. Just that every side will have to deal with some type of injury issue throughout the year.

Well Port are pushing for 3 weeks, so unless the tribunal lose their minds and let him off entirely this seems to be a definite.

Have you raised concerns with the club re our social media Andy? I assume you would have some contacts there that would pass on supporter feedback.

I'm guessing he will play 2-3 quarters and then will have a quarter in the seniors maybe?

In fairness the average fan wouldn't even know the VFL practice game is on.... Dland fans are a bit different of course

I wonder if because Carlton have a stand alone reserves and ours is Casey, we have some differences in the social media setup. The Casey social media may be completely different to our senior team?

I think Verrell needs one more year at Casey and another pre season before he will be ready for genuine seniors time. 2025 will be the beginning of the Verrall era.

I feel like the Kolt could be in line to move to number 10 next year all going well. He feels like the kind of player that will embody the courage and team first ethos of Gus.

Correct. Our midfield and Defence has been really strong, but our forward line has been stuck together with sticky tape since the end of the 2021 season. Compare that to the Lions forward line from 2001-2004 of Alastair Lynch, Daniel Bradshaw, Jonathan Brown, Jason Akermanis, Luke Power and Martin Pike. Pretty fair difference in quality!

Crack down on players having kids.... interesting. Where are our father/sons going to come from though?

Sanders has a much more mature body than Windsor, so no doubt will perform better this year, at least possession wise. I think Windsor's ceiling is enormous though as he puts on a bit of size and works on his midfield craft.

From my understanding we tried to get up higher in the draft but no one was willing to trade. You can only work with what is available. Windsor will be a beauty so not too concerned.
