i think we should part ways. trade him to the Tigers for a first rounder
-
Gotta love Bernie. Putting H in his place but in a professional way and letting the media know what the story really is.
-
You guys up for a laugh? GWS Giants charged over Lachie Whitfield affair after refusing to accept a deal with the AFL Your own staff and player broke the rules and did not adhere to club protocols and this was "in no way a governance failure." Hilarious!
-
So with H and Dawes gone we should have ~$1 Million Cap space. Nice to free up room for Fyfe next year!

Waggers has put on some size too I predict him to hold down a spot in the 22 ps. how the F do they run 3:15 min Ks? doesnt seem possible. I work in Parkville so I just did 2 laps of prinny park at lucnh today - no need to divulge my lap times. *a-hem *cough*

Good to see ANB and Bugg doing everything possible to improve and get into the 22 ANB might surprise a few

me too. he played at over 10 games last year, I was hoping he would be fully fit and attack preseason with the main group from day one. perhaps his body is playing up again. he needs to get a good month of work in before xmas you'd think

New balance apparel sponsorship renewed?
DubDee replied to Delusional demon 82's topic in Melbourne Demons
I think davo was being sarcastic -
it is definately worth exploring but it might raise more issues than it solves also. so if a team wins 10 games from 17. makes the top 6, loses the next five and makes the finals with a total of 10 wins another team on 8 wins is in the middle 6 wins 3 games and depending on the others games could possibly miss out of finals on 11 wins
-
slightly off topic, but does anyone know more about this 17-5 proposed fixture that might be implemented? or care to speculate? I like that they are thinking of ways to make the draw fairer and keep some interest in the late rounds but it raises many questions, if you finish in the top 6, are you garenteed to make finals? if you lose your next 5 games can you drop out? what do the bottom 6 play for? draft picks? this might punish the really terrible teams or encourage tanking by trying to get into the bottom 6 if no chance of finals does the middle 6 use their existing points tally?

Has played more finals than most of the melbourne team, ole Fitz! wouldnt be surprised if someone picks him up

Should we still be selling games interstate?
DubDee replied to Gingerguitar's topic in Melbourne Demons
It's sad that we are still struggling financially so much we need to sell home games. But I trust in PJ, if we didn't really need to do it we wouldn't be doing it god knows we could use the home advantage. This deal could easily be the difference between finals or no -
we'll beat the swans Home and GWS Away? gotta love the off season wouldnt be surprised if GWS win 20 games
-
Well done Peter Jackson. We finally gave him something to work with by having a decent year on field and he comes up with the goods. Best draw in many years
-
Yeah I know, delisted by the Blues - read before you dismiss straight away what do we think about picking him up as a rookie or late pick? we are pretty light on for ready to play tall forwards and tall key backs. if Hogan and Watts went down for example, it would be good to have a big body coming in for a couple of weeks. He could also provide some cover at the back as we are a bit light on there to I thought he actually played alright last year and was surprised he was canned. 6 foot 4, age 27. hard to assess his stats as he has played many positions. anyway - fire away. Im logging off now
-
not sure this is very easy to do. if we play the bog teams that draw big crowds the draw will be tougher (as opposed to lions, freo at home for example) usually its one or the other or neither!
-
unless the Saints get a dream draw again and have almost no injuries all year again - they will slide. 8-10 wins. god I will love it when we beat them next year. LOVE IT!
