Watts is soft. Can't believe some are arguing otherwise. The fact that he is skilful and created goals is a seperate issue. I wouldn't drop him as he is a quality outside player that we can't afford to drop.

with Frost out I dont think he can be replaced with a non-agile tall. So I wouldnt consider Pedo or Gawn to replace him. A midfielder comes in for me. give us more run agaonst the tiges. Michie is the most in form midfielder but he does seem like a slow insider midfielder With a tall fwd out, id have Watts and Vanderberg playing more fwd than wing and also Howe playing more fwd

well put. I am not sure what we are arguing about. Surely we all know Watts is soft by now? Thats not meant to be harsh - he is an outside skillful player and doesnt naturally go in hard to get the ball as his strengths are on the outside. IMO you can get away with a couple of these types of players once they deliver in other areas. Watts will never be Hogan or Viney. just like youll never see Hogan or Viney do the sublime skillful stuff Watts does.

4 games ago we scored 3 goals in an entire match against the giants and lost by 64 pts at the G. Amazing to think we are all expecting a win. A preseason is a long time in footy!

I reckon it's a 50-50 game. Overall I really want us to back up with another 4 quarter performance. I still need to be convinced last week wasn't a once off There is no reason why we can't win this of we go in hard all game and play with confidence.

Carlton are another example (aside from us) that complete bottom out rebuilds don't work. Staying at the bottom for years does a lot more damage than number 1 picks can reserve.
