From the Dees website, looks like T Mac out and Oliver in.
Confirmed ANB, Lewis and Jones will pay

Gary Ablett will be checking the BOM
Its part of his contract to not play in the wet

This is pretty poor. The week before the season starts and there is no notification of a reserved practice match that starts in 2 hours.
Thanks to KC for doing his best to notify us

Sounds the same to me. Am I missing something?

The media have got their narrative for our season ready. Pump us up in preseason. Beat St. Kilda by 20points- they’re flying!
When we stumble they will go back to this camp story and try to destabilise us saying the players are steering the ship.
Up to us to prove everyone wrong.

Thats a great injury list. Only one best 22 out
5 best 22 out for GWS, 4 for bombers, 5 for collingwood.

Man is scary how quickly 'Trumpisms' can become part of popular culture. He is no fool but he is a dangerous man.
i will never use the phrase myself

Geez Geelong love playing games, I would say we won’t know if danger and ablett play till 90 minutes before the bounce, reading Geelong page on big footy they think they can just chuck danger in the goal square for the game and he will kick 6
no way you do that with a hammy, you need to sprint and lead up fwd.
-
Great! Danger is out. Absolutely no chance anyone comes back earlier than 3 weeks for a hammy. especially not the best player in the league in round 1. I usually dont worry too much about who is playing for the opposition but there is no bigger one-man team than geelong

No Danger and a 35 yo Ablett off no match conditioning.
too easy.
Maybe Bugg will get a game, put him on Gary

Looking forward to watching the Dees today at Princes Park. Perfect day for it.
A win will put us in a good spot for the final

Good to hear Spargo performed well. Great that he will be pushed to earn his debut unlike years gone by. I’m excited by his potential. Expect a debut by round 8
also good that JKH played well. Our best 30 on our list are really getting to a good level of quality

Resto?

Practice games guys. Relax.
Mason cox just kicked 4 and looked like a star.
Once defenders are getting into watts his output will decrease

I'm wondering if we need Garlett, but if he's at his best he's an automatic selection (I think).
I reckon we need his 40 goals per year. I have hopes he might get close to 60 this year.
He is by far our best finishing small forward and the quickest I’d guess

Update:
Bar a couple yet to use their league code, everyone has been sent a code and are in their leagues.
I have a couple more to send out. That will cover everyone that has confirmed so far up until today.
Hey mate, any chance of joining a league? I’ve joined the last couple of years.

Peedo is going to be STIFF if he misses but I can't see a spot for him with T Mac and Hoges playing. maybe with only lever and O Mac down back he could be a bench/utility? def/fwd/ruck??

I think the combo of Petracca, Garlett, Hannan, Fritsch is too many forward line specialists, with only Petracca likely to spend good amounts of time in the middle. So one of Garlett, Hannan and Fritsch should make way for Harmes (who can also play forward), as Harmes can roll through the middle as well...
I was about to write the same thing. We don't to limit our run. Melksham will also be playing predominantly fwd.
For me, one of Hannan or Fritsch should miss. Hannan is fitter, better defensively so I would not play Fritsch even tough he has shown some nice glimses

'Fristchy Business' to snag 5 tonight
Trac and Clarry to work into some form
Saints will go in hard and it will be a good hit out for round 1. a kick in it til 3/4 time and then we'll kick away

does the squad get trimmed down today?
if not, why would we have more on the bench then for the first practice match? they usually trim it down in prep for round 1
-
Like the idea of a late arvo kick off. Im getting too old to start drinking at 11am.
A BBQ and crack the first can at 2pm works for me. or if im out, the game finishes at 7pm so prefect for kicking on

just looked into last season and started reliving the season should AFL.com ladder.
8 wins and 5 losses and we didn't make finals! ARRGGHH!
on the positive side, we had the second lowest losing margin of anyone above us. 19 points on average over the season is a very good effort and shows our team defence is functioning well. We still more goals though
