And if you knew you would be congratulating Paul Roos and our footy department for showing such GUTS in making the decision they did!!
He is now Geelong's problem,
Good luck with that Geelong!
So if you know the reason can you fill us in?

What a cvnt. Retired my ar$e.
I have the upmost respect for people that carry on with depression but this is beyond his illness. He chose to retire and walk out on us. See any dees players tweeting tonight saying congrats?
Put money on him for the Coleman

not named: brayshaw, harmes, howe, hunt, kent, king, o-mac, anb, petracca, spencer, riley, terlich, trengove, vince, white
take out injured, you are left with: brayshaw, harmes, hunt, kent, king, o-mac, spencer, riley, terlich, white
do we take from this that the above guys will be very unlikely to play round 1? some young guys there understandably but if I was Riley, Terlich and Spencer I would be worried. Kent must be being managed
strange approach Roosey is taking, usually NAB is seen as getting 2 games into all fit players but he is treating it like firming his 22. fair enough i say! just different to his usual style.

Agree its a pity they are fielding their seconds. and then we'll take on the best of the VFL next week.
not the best preparation but might cheer some up to have a couple of wins

please change thread title
i almost shat my pants!

Im hearing people say "not everyone has twitter" as if most people do and its only the oldies that don't?
im in my mid thirties and I dont have a twitter account (as I dont care to know what xx celebrity had for breakfast). nearly all my mates are the same so using this as the main way to communicate anything to members is ridiculous

That's a fair point but was garland was excellent in 2013 and was on par with jonsey imo. Big difference between 2nd and 3rd that yearAnd Terlich finished third.
And someone i actually would have over Grimes actually. While he can be poor by foot at times he tries to give us some run and carry and takes the game on.

Some thoughts
Really surprised at how poor Gawn was. I thought he could kick a little, it's like he's been learning off spencer. One game in so hopefully a once off
I think Dawes and hogan will be a great twin towers combo
Newton will be a good player
I liked T macs games. Got involved
Really happy with how we cam back in the third. Freo were putting in and had a strong team out
Now to get a win against the saints. Bring watts Viney etc in
-
Do people forget that garland was an inch away from winning the bluey the year before last?
I am confident he will get his mojo back

2008 game vs Freo is on Fox Footy at the moment, if anyone wants to whet the appetite...
I just saw scully wearing 31 and I threw in my mouth a little

Just you Dub, cannot stand You am I, one of my most hated bands EVER!
I have heard nothing but good things about KISS live, and all very recent concerts.
They will be fine, they created rock entertainment.
Wow didnt know You Am I could emote should a response
Exactly what I mean when I said its impossible to please everyone
Maybe Taylor Swift is free?

I agree. I assume Johnny Farnham must be busy?
but the thing is, who would you have instead?
garauntee it is impossible to please everyone with music
I'd just You Am I to play it every year. but thats just me. :-)

I don't see GWS improving much. Lost Patton and Boyd. Plowman out again so not many good key backs. Deep through the midfield but I suspect a few lads will be looking to leave at years end. I reckon we will finish above them.
I see us above gws Carlton, dogs, dons, west coast, st kilda finish around 12th
West coast have lost Kerr cox embley waters and now b&f Mckenzie. Not a good midfield

Can't believe Beer is not being lowered. Its the only thing I buy at the footy and I have a lot of it, mostly to numb the pain
have to go back to sneaking in some whisky
-
Far out this is depressing. Season hasn't even started and people are thinking a pass mark is losing 16 games?!
We really should have won 6 in 2014 given how many close ones we were in. I know it's easy to we should have, but I believe that
So saying 6 is a pass is expecting not much improvement at all. Surely we have more expectation than that?
Anything less that 8 wins is not a pass for me. I'm expecting 8-10 wins. And it's not about saying which other teams won't improve, that'll take care of itself. There are so many surprises each year. Who would thought flag favourites west coast would not make finals. Or that we would beat the crows away etc.
We have a lot of middle tier players that should improve and are in their peak years watts howe garland grimes
And we have heaps of young talent that should naturally get fitter and better viney Tyson Salem etc
Go dees!

The Freo and Essendon games will be on fox.
The bulldogs game won't be televised.
Thanks mate. Guess I'll have to head up to Ballarat for the dogs game then
-
Hi all. Anyone know which of our games are televised?

Well I've had a good sleep and the dust has settled on this terrible news and Im still as angry and devastated as yesterday!!!
The poor bloke! I am just hoping to any higher power that might exist that this does not lead to re-occurrance and that he still becomes a great player for us
-
I assume from that, you expected him to be there from Round 1 and dominate?
He is one player from a squad of over 40, yes from what I have seen at training, he could have come in early and been a really good players for us
But we have had too much expectation placed on young shoulders previously
Hopefully with the really good medical and fitness regime we have in place he can make a full recovery
of course not. Im worried about his career. how many times do we see re-occurrances of ACLs? Anyway just wanted to be able to rant and have a sook without being told to calm down and look on the bright side
thats all

Seriously doubt I will take your advice DD
At this point we have little idea if he will be a champ or a chump.
Lots of supposed Champs end up Chumps.
Lets just wait and see before we step in front of the nearest train.
You are right, there is no evidence that this potential number 1 draft pick can play football. ill calm down and give it a few years to see if this injury ruined his career
thanks for the advice

can everyone telling people to 'calm down' just pi$$ off??? possibly our best recruit has done his ACL, one of the worst and hardest to recover from injuries you can do. We are allowed to be upset. if you are not upset, good on ya.
i could have taken a shoulder or an ankle but not a fricken ACL from our new dynamic midfielder forward. FFAAARRRRRRRRRKKKKKKKK!
cant we just have one high pick come in and be awesome? too much to ask?

The thought of Salem rolling off half back and hitting up the hard leading Hogan is enough to give up my search for a meaningful relationship

in Melbourne Demons
Posted
Thanks for the training report. You guys are legends.
On the 4 years with misson. Surely we are now fit?!? We won't hear any talk of we just couldn't run out games etc. surely?!
