If we actually go for the pick 6 > 3 upgrade, we obviously rate Parish a lot higher than most think. Could the difference in talent between 3 picks really be that significant in the one draft?
The alternative is Howe could probably get us pick 19 from the Suns (if we hold our ground) which could probably get us Rioli or Gresham. Interesting times!
Maybe we reckon it could be a year like last year?
- brayshaw at 3 and caleb marchbank at 6

Good work dees get in early. We should to get him locked away for the next 7-8 years soon.
He is the game changer. Pay him whatever.

I'm over being angry at this coz I don't have the energy.
Welcome milkshake. May you prove goody a genius.

Would make no sense for them to trade Parker. Young future captain.
Only reason would be if they have their eye on someone. Like a key back. Coz they can only trade in if they trade out

id be happy enough to see him go. lovely lad but not up to AFL from what ive seen of him
if we can get anything for him, take it

what gun Fyfe is. played the second half of the season on one leg and missed 4 games and still won. he would have cracked 40 votes if he stayed fit
on another topic, I think they should officially exclude defenders from the brownlow. its [censored] ridiculous. obviously the umpires have no appreaciation for the skill involved in being a good defender. they just vote for whoever gets the ball the most
T Mac gettin no votes and Scarlet hardly polling over the years when he was one of the best players of the past 30 years sums it up.

The MilkShake has officially put in a trade request.
Essendon are "extremely dissapointed" with his decision
i.e. they want a good draft pick for him
-
Melksham was pretty left-field
just sayin

What a blown pick at pick 3. Has shown very little and struggled to get a game.
I'd pass. We have enough under performing high picks

2 years of no games and he has the nerve to knock back a contract at the pies and request a trade. You've done nothing mate!

I'm picturing you as the guy in every cheesy action/sci-fi movie who says things like 'All I need to know is where they are!' and 'Our objective is to find the enemy and kill the enemy!'.
They usually get gruesomely exploded/gored/brainsucked/eaten during the first encounter, as a plot point to make clear that 'the enemy is smarter and more deadly than we thought'.
have we met before?
-
Yeah that's just the mindset we need to be back contending with the big boys
yeah some more meetings and presentations should do the trick
nah my post was written partially in jest. but i do have a concern that we need so many blokes to teach the players about the game. surely our players should know a lot about the game, watch it, learn tactics, game plans (I certainly did when i played). these days it seems so much like a job that they need to be talked into learning about the game. we have 5 months every year with nothing to do but learn the game plan! it cant be that hard.
with the ball, without the ball. at stoppages. seriously not brain surgery

analyst and education coordinator?
we do realise this is footy and not a corporation?
just get the ball and kick through the big sticks!

interesting to see the coaches had Bernie in their AA team and he didnt even crack the squad of 40 for the official team.
just shows how BS this is

no interest in Yarran. looks like a world beater in 5 games per year. the rest he looks terrible.
a better version of Blease. we need consistent performers
-
He has played 22 games each of last 3 seasons so injuries are hopefully behind him.
He would be great in our midfield or maybe off half back. Strong, skilful, good decision maker and finals experienced.
Easily worth a first round pick.
Good to hear we are into some good players! But people have to realise we have to give up something good to get something good. No way a second round pick will do it for Hamish.

Second rounder for melksham! Fark me!
Can only pray this isn't true.

has averaged 16 touches over his career
has never proven himself a competent mid
-
Fk me. Melksham?
I still cant get my head around this. Saying he is better than Mckenzie, Bail etc is not saying much as they are some of the worst in the league and will be delisted. 3rd round pick at most
trying to be positive....
maybe Goody can turn him around
maybe he wont be banned by WADA.
he should do well at casey

how ridiculous that itll likely be 2 WA teams in the GF and Victoria gets a day off and WA dont.
not complaining.... i dont mind sleeping in on the 2nd

Agreed HH. This guy is a poor afl player. The only thing is that Goodwin must see something in him as he would know him so well
But fk me I fail to see any upside or how he would provide any value to us
And we certainly shouldn't recruit someone coz they are a marginal upgrade on our worst listed player

Just putting out some love for jack. His breakout year has somewhat gone under the radar given hogan and other youngsters coming up but he was unbelievable this year and it's been highlighted now with almost winning the BnF off 16 games! He hasn't even played 50 games yet! We have an absolute beauty here and I believe he will lead us to success.
Some stats:
No 1 average tackles. 6.6 - next highest vince with 4.8
No 1 ave contested possessions. 12.1 - next highest vince 10.2
No 1 ave clearances 5.6. - next vince 5.2
No 1 ave centre clearances 2.4. Next jones 1.5
Another preseason and a full 22+ games next year and watch out! I'm confident he will become a genuine A grader. With confidence his disposal will continue to improve.

A big off season? They are 3 average players. They may improve our depth but we won't be seeing finals.
