Dogs will be fired up for this one. Accused of a prem hangover.
Their defence is still good and have a few big names back
it'll be a very tough game
-
Great to see JK backing it up. He hasn't performed this well at Casey before so there is hope for him yet

I'm in the minority but I don't mind Eddie. Good presenter on fox and passionate about his pies.
The trade stuff is just him joking around

anyone know if there is a cheap way to get tickets for Level 2?
my mate will be there as he has reserved seat. $73 they are quoting on ticketmaster!!! wtf!?
-
I'd say no change. if spencer was in form he would come in but we would be weighing up whether an out of touch Spencer would add more than the current set up. unfortunately for Speno I dont think he does.
For the trip to Perth next week id expect 3-4 changes to freshen up some runners
-
Doubt Shuey would get a week for that. Head high but not much impact/force
and apparently dean cox said before the game that Kennedy is no lock for next week!
-
Dogs bringing back Boyd, Libba and Morris and coming off a poor run. Think we might be up against it this week
But Im keen to be surprised!
-
I think we have 4 games we should win and 4 more we are a good chance in so I went for 6 more wins. that would see us have a bad patch coming up, being out of the 8 but then maybe sneaking in at the end.
Gawn and Hogan are the X factors that can get us more consistent and winning more

for the most part Lewis has been very good. No coincidence we lost 3 on the trot when he was out.
He had to be carrying an injury yesterday surely? he did not look to be moving freely
-
Well done Waggers. Harshly dropped and didn't sook, just killed it.
Great to have Speno back to dominate the rock against the dogs next week

This coming off the bye BS amuses me, does anyone complain in finals when they have a week off before the prelim??
Plough has no idea, I expect us to be losing 20 mins in as the pies are in form but I also expect a decisive win. Eg round 1

A few weeks is a long time in footy:
well done to ANB for cementing a spot in the 18. nice to see no-one calling for him to be dropped even though there is some fwd talent at casey. I reckon he has enough talent and more than enough application to make it
Hats off also to Hannon
and also to Tyson for working his way slowly into some form

That's a very disturbing story but I don't know how the link to the supplements and the poor girl's health can be proved. Would it have to be proved beyond reasonable doubt or the balance of probabilities for any legal action to be successful? The other concern I have is for Lovett-Murray himself. Surely if he goes to the Supreme Court he'll be found to have contributed to his own problem by (a) not checking with ASADA and (b) lying to ASADA about the injections.
i have some experience in this area - you do not need to prove it beyond a reasonable doubt. But you do need to prove there is a plausible association between the drugs and what adverse reactions potentially occurred. his lawyers would need to be hiring medical professionals to investigate the drugs to see if there is a medically plausible association. as these cases are so grey, they tend to be settled if there is substance to them

When we beat the pies, we'll move above the premiers on the ladder

Cameron McCarthy is going quite well for them.
With any late pick (draft selection or trade) there is some form of risk or deficiency. At his current market value, the pros vastly outweigh the cons.
On talent he is worth a punt.
Im just making the point that I'm not a fan of players holding their club to ransom and stopping playing coz they miss their mum.
And cam McCarthy is no character reference
-
if he is not playing for them due to homesickness, that is pretty soft. fair enough its hard being away from home at 20yo but unless there are other issues you'd want someone with the character to play through a tough spell
-
everyone going on about Collingwoods injuries but again we have no ruckman and are missing:
Gawn - our MVP
Hogan - best Fwd
Brayshaw
AVB
Spencer
Pies have 5-6 first team players out so not too different really
-
Source re Hogan is the Goodwin presser. article on the MFC website
There is open training session on Sat at 9:30 at Goschs

ADAMS IS NOT THE SHARPEST TOOL IN THE MAGPIE SHED
WHICH IS SAYING SOMETHING GIVEN HOW MANY TOOLS THEY HAVE IN THEIR SHED
With a picture of Drillbit Talyor?

anyone else picturing Viney staring a photo of Taylor Adams with gritted teeth?
Adams went the return serve with Bernie, tossbag

If Gawn only another week or two away I don't know if they will bring in Spencer to be a short term fill in.
The last 5 weeks that we have been ruckman free we have won the clearance count on each occasion
Vs G.C 37 clearances to 34
Vs Nth 40-34
Vs Adel 49-38
Vs Hawks 37-30
Vs Drug Lords 40-31
We have won 3/5 of those games along the way.
I'm not sure that having Jake V the Pies will help better those clearance counts whilst not having him will give us extra run around the ground.
interesting stat but not having a ruck has still hurt us massively imo. We should have beaten North and Hawks, loosing hit outs was a major part of this. Quality of clearances is not captured in stats but I am sure from watching the games that we did not cause as much damage as usual with these clearances.
Winning some taps also means you can set up to win and play on your terms rather then the other teams terms.
there is also the impact of not having a big man to kick to from kick out and down the line. Grundy would smash us
-
Massive game. The pies defence is poor especially without Reid. If we break even in the middle then we should get on top. Will Trac love the big stage?? I reckon he might

Still two training sessions to go before Monday. If hogan trains fully he plays. Good of the club to take the pressure off him.
