Playing finals for the first time in 11 years would be a start.
5 more wins needed

I'm still in awe of Vineys game yesterday. One of the best individual performances I've seen from a melbourne player, ever
True leadership, toughness, brilliance.
I think we will see him lift the premiership cup one day. Hopefully a few times.

Played 10 games for us, we've won 8.
No coincidence.
The blokes a winner and we are a significantly better team when he plays

Expecting a drop in pressure from us this week as we can't perform like we have every week.
Watts and hogan out.
Im expecting a frustrating loss tonight. But we'll beat the swans next week

Following this post (excitedly) from Kassel in Germany!
Is Kassel worth a visit? I go to Marburg for work every now and again
-
so much hype around the Bombers recently - making me feel ill
Ill be cheering on Sydney tonight, even though they are likely to snag a finals spot. shouldn't effect us though as we are aiming top 4!

Apparently the crows are favourite for the flag???
average team if your defence is set up right
-
Gees I hope Le Cras gets up. he is soft as butter these days, should have been dropped weeks ago

Never realised how important Watts is to our line up until he is missing
kicks goals but more importantly a great link man. hope its not a 21-day hammy

no need to drop a tall now.
Pedo and T Mac as our 2 tall forwards - good god!
we'll need luck on our side on Sat night
-
A harder, better version of JJ.
What a pick up at pick 47!

Sure I'll get howled down here - and maybe told to f-off and go find another forum... and that's great. BUT I can't help but roll my eyes at some of the trash the comes up with 13yo kid versions of club names Essendrug for example, or $hitihad Stadium.
Now most of the posters on here can be bloody hilarious at times. (I'm not one of them) and figured some of you would have some gold. So I thought I'd get the ball rolling..(really putting myself out on a limb here).
GWS = Demitriou's Franchise
WCE = (methcoke is ok)
Western Bulldogs = 2016's Flavour of the Year.
You get the idea... feel free to add some input.
If anyone has ever read The Fiver in The Guardian, you'll know what I mean.
I agree a lot of the current nicknames are a struggle. 'Wet Toast', wtf?!
I give other clubs the respect to at least say their name and hopefully get the same in return
aside from the Drug Cheats, they can go [censored] themselves!!

THE LAST TIME THEY MET
West Coast 10.6.66 defeated Melbourne 8.12.60 Round 18, 2016 at Domain Stadium
had forgotten about this game. good to see we are building up a rep for being able to play well away from home. nothing to be afraid of. Let's smash the soft Westerners!

If Kennedy is out for 4 weeks, it not only gives us a good chance to win but it hurts their finals chances massively!

would be amazing if he played. he has been unlucky no inside mids have been injured to get a chance

You've made a few points along these lines and haven't had many responses, but I agree with you. Structurally we have dilemmas.
Our last 6 quarters have been very good and it's no coincidence Frost and Oscar have been the key backs with Tom playing 55% ruck and the rest of the time either forward or bench.
With Gawn back what do we do with Tom and Pedersen. It's logical to play Pedersen forward with stints on the ball, but Tom McDonald is a poor key forward if that's his main role. Playing on ball and drifting forward works for him, but I doubt being positioned predominantly forward works for Tom. And do we want a forward-line of Pedersen, Watts, and Tom McDonald when a smaller forward-line has been working so well ?
This issue is only compounded further when Hogan is ready.
I can't see a role for Tom McDonald forward (especially when Jesse comes back) and the last thing I want to see is the two McDonalds down back with frost.
Thanks for response mate. Thought I was going nuts for a bit there.
Interesting selection coming up!

Anyone got the stats on smothers for the game? In that first quarter I remember a few beauties from us

If Kennedy doesn't play they have the dinosaur Petrie and Darling at key talls with Vardy occasionally resting in the fwd.
i reckon we are too tall if we have:
watts, pedo up fwd with Gawn ruck
and T Mac, O Mac and Frost at the back
thoughts? Should we drop a tall? Want to make we maximise run and have some good distributors at the back

Frost out, you are kidding. He has been fantastic this year
He has played well but I reckon we are too tall down back with the Macs, frost and hibbo able to play tall.
If Kennedy doesn't play surely we drop a tall for Gawn?? Otherwise we lose some of our run
who would you drop?

I am sorry but I think it is time you checked yourself into Arkham, you gone Loco.
alright you're all hilarious with your memes (good-natured tone)
everyone bagging Frost being dropped, anyone care to say the tall they will drop? Crush O Macs confidence? Peedo is killing it. T Mac undroppable

OUT - Frost Jones
IN - GAWN Wagner
Lewis/Salem/ANB/Trac get more midfield time.
T Mac stays back, Pedo fwd/2nd ruck
Frost stiff
if Watts injured Frost stays in

it really is a year where a team could nick a flag. no-one is dominant or even consistent. GWS having so many injuries opens it up
why not Dees! just have to make finals first though!

Seems like a lovely fella and a real team man. his game on the weekend was great especially the 3rd quarter.
he is tougher than people realise and his awareness and decision making are elite
it might be a breakout seaon but I reckon he has another level to get to with greater fitness and confidence

I didn't think Selwood or Mitchell deserved weeks.
Sheuy one is borderline but not much force in it.
Only one I don't agree with is Rosa. Stiff to get a week for that, the bloke ducked into it
Demons premiership?

Very strange year. No very good teams. GWS the closest but they have been raped by injuries
