Easy to forget we are watching an all-time great in Buddy Franklin. Will kick a 1000 goals in an era when it should not be possible. And to add to that, he seems like a nice, down to earth guy how he never won a Brownlow is a disgrace. Best player of the past 20 years imo

So sad to see the bombers lose by 3 points and get shafted by the umps. IT IS SO SWEET!!
-
Swans are choking big time. this has a bombers last minute win written all over it
-
Geez the Saints made a blue letting Hind go. They could use him off HB
-
Good thing we have them at night at the G
-
So swans aren’t that good? Or bombers aren’t that bad? or both?
-
The boy Cox looks a future gun. Will be some great battles against LJ over the years
-
Heeney broken hand
-
that might explain the odds then! lol in fairness, its a very different style the swans play this year. they should be 5.2 poor kicking
-
For punters 221+ total points is paying $13 tonight
-
Anyone gonna defend tonight? Should be an interesting match. Bombers will give it a shake early but lose by 30
-
I reckon the Saints will cause an upset at home to WC. feel it in me bones
-
What about all 20 teams make the finals? the AFL would make so much money then or maybe just 18 teams so north and the bombers can miss out
-
you can take the boy out of Scotland....
-
Tassie Stubbies? or Tassie Explorers with a map of Tassie on the jersey
-
You may have missed it but the proposal is not fair and even, it has an extra 'rivalry round' for some reason. so whether that team is 1st or 20th could decide your season. They finally have the chance to have an even and fair draw at least hypothetically and they blow it. And the 12th team out of 20 making finals? finals should be the best team playing off. not team that have lost more games than they won. I get he wants to make more money for the AFL with more finals but finals would lose their appeal and significance

It’s already a 6 day break. No way I want Friday night and a 5 day break
-
Good idea. Especially in positions like the ruck. If all are injured there are no options for clubs. Loaning would give a guy a chance to play and develop rather than playing the lower level and help the injury impacted team

The Melbourne player with the league’s highest work rate
DubDee replied to DTJ's topic in Melbourne Demons
Not sure about cricket, but I know in round-ball football you only get an appearance when you are subbed on. To me if seems insane you would get credited with an appearance when you do not play for even a minute. I understand your example you raise and they should be paid for it but not get credited a game. Should be give the carried over emergency a cap too? -

Good first hit out from Melksham. Didn’t see him shirk a contest and didn’t turn it over once! but seriously - counting a player who does not step on the field as having played a game is an absolute farce! They even get a premiership medal! -
That's a significant list given their lack of depth Evans is a kid plucked from obscurity, playing for Brunswick amateurs apparently
-
I reckon Trac would be valued and rated higher outside the club than Clarry. The coin Trac would get thrown at him next year would be ridiculous. Would be fantastic to lock him in. Should hopefully help getting Clarry's signature also. in the meantime - win games MFC!!
-
Yep WC are looking good for the minor premiership even at this stage. They'll win 11 at home plus 4-5 away minimum. The best fwd line. close to the best defence. When Yeo and Shuey are firing along side Kelly, Gaff, Nic Nat, etc they'll be tough to beat. To have Kennedy and Darling both fit and firing early is scary

MASSIVE game. fantastic to play the Cats at the G. Hopefully they have flashbacks of Jetta, Viney and Clarry smashing them physically in the final in 2018 in front of 90K. The Cats are clever, rough and will try anything to nullify our strengths. Have we matured? Can we keep our heads and not give away 50s? If we stay focused and tough at the ball we win.

May and Gawn would be locks Oliver, Langdon, Kozzi, Lever, Trac in the conversation
