  1. could happen. Melksham with 7 touches and 1 tackle, (and 1 goal) was not great. but we might be too inside mid heavy with Dunstan staying in, especially on the G against a quick team if it was me picking the team, I'd have Bedford in the 22 for Melk, Viney in for Dunstan
  2. Langers is a machine. He’ll play Viney in for Dunstan
  3. I hear Tom Scully’s old man is available if north are interested
  4. Honestly - what would fans prefer? being a mid table team under Scott for 10 years with no chance to win a flag or to bottom out and have a chance to be a great team and maybe win a flag? no way you end up with the list we have without bottoming out. It’s painful for north but if they nail 3-4 draft picks along with TT, LDU, JHF they will be back
  5. Great interview from Ryder. Will most likely enter his 18th season next year. I respect him a great deal. He was one of the few to hold the bombers to account and left due to the clubs lack of player welfare. He was concerned about the impact of the hundreds of injections might have on his unborn child
  6. The worst part about this 'rule' is that it is only sometimes used. maybe 50% of the time around the ground the ump will yell stand and the other 50% there is nothing, so the bloke on the mark can move backwards if they like Also, this rule is set up to fail. it relies on the player on the mark hearing the umpire. picture 80K feral fans in a prelim, the ump yells stand from 20m away, you reckon it'll be heard? the bloke on the mark takes half a step backwards (which is allowed sometimes) and that 50m penalty could decide a game Don't get me wrong, i like the idea that you can't move sideways on the mark as it opens up play but it needs to a black and white rule or it will always cause issues. How about - when you are on the mark you can only move directly backwards (away from the player with the ball), any side to side or fwd movement will be a 50m penalty. no need for the ump to yell stand (which is bloody annoying while watching on tv)
  7. Thank you for agreeing to give it a rest in the meantime we can deal with our exposed form of being 10-0
  8. Nice to see Goody show respect to Noble, having a long chat post game instead of celebrating the win. Sound as a pound is our Goody
  9. Any idea on the attendance?
  10. Brown - was very poor 74 inside fifties and kicked 2 behinds
  11. It’s dawned on me that I only have a Foxtel subscription to see Kath Laughlan present
  12. Fair play to North, they did all they could. Were aggressive and pressured hard. Good for us to have these tests rather than a training run
  13. 1. We miss Viney for his mental toughness and driving standards 2. Dunstan has always been a poor kick, why are people surprised?
  14. 25K would be good crowd given the oppo and venue hopefully we make 20K
  15. It’ll be a banner day for you alright! good luck! what’s the message on it?? ‘Gawn in 60 seconds’ is the best I can think up
  16. After too many beers last night I sludged my U-bend earlier!
  17. Sensing a frustrating game coming up. North to be with 20 points at time and us to win by 35 Although if we are switched on, under the roof and kick straight it could be messy i think I’ve made myself clear
  18. Agree on their midfield but you just cannot win the flag with a poor defence. I would love to play the blues in finals if they recruit in the off season they could be a problem for sure
  19. Another bloody away game. Anyone heading west for the game today??
  20. Sure Carlton have improved from the bottom 6 side they have been for years but you are getting carried away imo. Aside from Weitering their defence is poor. O Mac would walk into that back line if fit. Their midfield is strong and the twin towers if fit are formidable but we are far superior and they hold no fear for me. i do rate Voss though and I like their pressure and game plan like my mates keep telling me - it’s ours to lose this year 😬
  21. Anything better than Carlton choking??
  22. Swans should win this if they are any good Weitering aside, the Blues defence is so bad
  23. Buddy. What a star
  24. Could be right. He’s 34 next month. 250 games. What a gun player he has been almost changed the modern day inside mid - you need to have a tall beast in there
  25. Forget the free kicks. There is only one team with their head over the ball. You get what you deserve the Swans have been pathetic. Longmire will be losing his rag in the rooms
