  1. Now that this Selwood rule is in, surely Joel retires after the usual Cats prelim exit this year? 10 years of top 4 and 1 GF loss to show for it. It's an equalised comp Cats, go down and take your lumps like the rest of us
  2. I assuming Lever won't get up. cant risk his shoulder at this stage IN Clarry, Petty Out Melksham, Lever Throw Petty fwd I know putting Petty fwd is a risk and it is late in the season but we need to take a risk. Brown is on his own and Weed/M Brown are not up to it. BB is also a little injured and we need a big body up there
  3. Talent wise we have the best list. the most talent in their prime. It is all down to the coaches and see if their plan to get us peaking at the right time. We have form issues, fitness issues so can we click? I think we can. The Cats are firing on all cylinders right now, but the GF is 2 months away. No way they can go 16 games unbeaten. I cannot wait to play the Pies and Blues. I think we will show them who can handle the heat at the pointy end of the season
  4. Just when you think we are getting somewhere as a society, I read the hundreds of comments on these articles online. So disgusting. Bagging Daisy and Kelli - stay out of our game etc. I won’t repeat the rest of the tripe. Why is she being hired by the Cats then you morons?! Daisy is a gun and dead set legend
  5. The way Dogs/Dees games have gone recently whoever goes on a run in the 2nd/3rd Q usually loses So I’ll be seriously worries if we are ahead early in the 3rd Q!
  6. Luckily Buckley came in and fixed their culture. From a flag winning young team in a window to years without finals 😂
  7. Great news regarding Lever!!
  8. McClure said he would be amazed if De Geoy was at the Pies next year so sounds like this might not be the usual gossip If he was a tall fwd I'd maybe think about it. but he has shown time and time again he only cares about himself
  9. Bombers should beat the Pies this week. They have their tail up That will get rid of one of the pretenders
  10. Can see him going to the Saints as they desperately need a player like him. He can waste away his talent there
  11. I think only playing brown plus resting ruck is too small. Brown will be triple teamed and may not be able to even bring the ball to ground. If Gawn or LJ are off the ground we only have one tall fwd option. Unless we change our style to a chip kicking, hand-ball chain running team (which could be a option to consider) we need another tall, even if they are not terrific
  12. I really hope they don’t get the sniffles again poor things
  13. Beat the dogs and we are safe for top 4. we are already 4 points and significant % outside those outside the 4. Massive game
  14. true but I personally can't see it happening. They have lost so many key players and will continue to do so (Hooper and others already looking to leave). Ward and Davis will retire so there is a huge leadership gap and they cannot attract any quality players via trade. Culture is poor and they look to have no fight left If I was Adem, I would wait until later in the season/off season and go for a job which a much higher chance of success. Head Coach jobs are brutal, if you fail at your first one, you are unlikely to get another chance, unless you have a name like Voss. WC, Dogs, Tigers, Port you would think will have head coach turnover in the next year or two Anyway if he goes for it, I hope he does well
  15. Spargo was in 30 metres of space running into goal, no way Fritsch did not see him. It was the most blatant burn so far. The flow on impact of Bailey not doing the team thing could be big if not corrected. We won it last year on the ethos of selflessness, I am sure the coaches are working with him but we need to see results soon
  16. Far from ideal if he gets the gws job. assume the contract will begin in October? I’m sure he will do his job at the Dees but human nature says his mind will be elsewhere but of course I’d be happy for him
  17. Fair enough I’ll keep an eye out for that. No moments for Trac come to mind though. I find he leads the team first attitude. Layed several off today when he could have easily gone for goal
  18. I doubt a tall fwd in his first year is the answer. He has been good at times at Casey but hardly a consistent performer Put JVR up against AFL defenders and he’ll struggle. Let him build his game at casey
  19. I hear you. Depends how much stock you put in team first ethos. Not just one, but three burns now. None of which he has scored i hope they sort it out
  20. I can only assume the coaches have been talking to him. And he is not listening. You can excuse 1 or 2 but that one today, there is no way he doesn’t see Spargo running into the goal square I agree, he played ok otherwise. But we need to stamp this out before finals. Maybe being dropped will get the message home?
  21. Anyone else think Fristch should be dropped for his series of selfish play? I’m worried about him being above our selfless culture
  22. Our midfield is hardly humming. Reckon he should concentrate on the job at hand (not saying he isn’t) and turn some hit outs into clearances with the ruck group North need an experienced coach. Gws have zero culture or heritage so why even consider them can see Yze at Port or the dogs next year
  23. Trac was BOG after Koz. 10 clearances, 3 assists. 17 contested. We don’t win without Trac today
  24. Actually scratch that. We should make a statement. Fritsch has burnt 3 players now. If our culture is selflessness and team-first, he needs to have a spell. Petty Oliver in for Lever and Fritsch. might hurt in the short term but we can’t let that stuff slide
  25. Assuming Lever is out for a shoulder IN Petty Oliver OUT Lever, Melksham Tomo certainly does not deserve to be dropped. He was very solid against a good attack with no Petty and Lever at 50%
