In the past this incident wouldn’t have warranted a suspension however the AFL want to clamp down on hits off the ball. Therefore I feel the suspension will stand and May will be made an example of. The thing that slightly annoys me though is the criteria that Christiansen used to grade the incident as being worthy of a one week suspension, it’s completely amateurish.

I agree, he’s off the scale.

I noticed this last week with Smith as well, a couple of times he jumped with TMac and completely spoiled him. I’m not sold on him, I think he’s a bit of a one trick pony. But time will tell though, hope I’m wrong.

It was a practice match...the players got some k’s into the legs and a bit of conditioning. The rest is all fugazi, clearly saving something special for round 1.
