  1. Nope, Say our season came to a treacle, finish 13-10, lose the first final and bow out. Would you ask the question? Are we that gutsy?
  2. So it's raining tonight it looks like...
  3. I was expecting something like this:
  4. Please post your thoughts on the game at approx 10.30pm tonight Dub...
  5. Youve got to be joking, great at getting free and linking up forward, thought he was great yesterday.
  6. And Van Rooyen in and McDonald to chop out in the ruck!!!
  7. Hi 58er, Didn't mean to come across as negative, I suppose another year of speculation sounds exhausting, In relation to your response, GC from 2011 to very recently were rot, As were we from 2011-16, So yes retention was difficult, And you're right,Jackson, has been the only player of note in the past few years to leave, probably because we haven't been rot, Hence why arguably at the peak of our powers, it would be strange for 2 premiership players to leave, when money is a non-issue. I'm presenting a hypothetical based on Pickett leaving (whether he is intending to I have no idea) However last year's French Farce (LJ apparently taking up until the last hour to make up his mind) still lingers. If Pickett has already made his mind up to leave, I'd rather play Chandler instead (or Laurie).
  8. hmmmm...... Jackson and possibly Pickett leaving in the space of 3 seasons, Two premiership players...strong list, apparently great environment...something ain't right, I hope Sir Hubris is as far away as possible from the joint... I note Noah Anderson signed on at GC for another few years, It's not that difficult is it?
  9. last article i could see on his last contract: https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/western-bulldogs-best-and-fairest-lachie-hunter-eyeing-new-fiveyear-deal/news-story/eff16c6d28b612bfa44928ef1ad67073 $600,000 a year, can't see it more than 7, Maybe they pay part of his salary?
  10. Interesting, gathering steam Lamb's deflection comment may have been a message to WB that they were asking for too much
  11. Tim Lamb just said on trade radio its 'in no man's land and probably unlikely' (paraphrasing)
  12. Sure, I wish them the world on that front, Cerra was a vital cog that wanted to go home, they were spooked, decided to go all WA in the draft, it was very much on purpose and I agree with them, Likewise what the hell is the point of using a high pick on someone not from these parts? Look at North today, its not worth the hassle, the worry, the constant [censored] in the media all year about it, Yeah Brayshaw and Serong might stay, great! Thats nothing to do with us. Tell me if you would be comfortable with using our first this year and next on someone from WA...? Please, none of you would...
  13. I'll remember this when WC offer Van Rooyen a grandfather deal at the end of next year...
  14. Not it does'nt, I said nothing about Victorians in the thread, i said we should stop drafting kids from WA
  15. I dont agree, he was never a physical beast, can jump though
  16. Solid two picks Freo had at 7 & 8 in the same draft: Young and Serong, Problem for us was our Defense and Midfield were stacked, so we were happy to go the slightly askew pick with upside, It happens, nothing can be done now
  17. Taj fine, F/S, McVee rookie, fine, I''ll extrapolate, no one in the top 10 -15 at least.
  18. Agreed, had little influence on all the games I watched this year
  19. I know its all been on your minds because you are all deep thinking MFC tragics like myself, Fremantle saw the writing on the wall after Cerra left the year before, All four picks they had in the 2021 national draft where Western Australian's Van Rooyen must be the last selection we make from WA ever We have a storied history with famous Demons players from WA, but times have changed, WA may as well be another country Time to start drafting our own I think most clubs are now catching on
  20. Couldnt forsee Covid, think that was the catalyst
  21. His manager just said on trade radio: 'If Melbourne was a footy club in Perth then he would have stayed'. Also was asked if there is an issue with retention manager said: 'Covid was an issue, borders closed, couldnt go back much, he didnt get a huge grounding in Melbourne as they were away for all of 2020 and part of 21'
