Honestly.... We forget how far back we r coming from We wr a complete basket case in 2013 both on & off the field... Our development & culture were deplorable... Around 18 players turned over... Roos & PJ are building the foundations & setting the right culture ... Whilst we have all suffered we need to be patient....

English Football consists on a number of tiers & allows promotion & relegation which in itself creates interest in who will drop & who will be promoted... The Champioship league is below the EPL which is very strong & with promotion comes millions of pounds to the club, increased sponsorship etc They also play each other twice & a real home & away grounds! Whilst only maybe 4-5 some clubs will win the premiership, lower teams still win the the FA cup or Carling cup along with the opportunity to finish mid table & play in the Europa cup... The AfL I'm sorry is becoming less even, with super clubs emerging getting prime time exposure on TV to meet TV rights demand... Clubs don't play each other twice & no real home & away comp Bigger clubs taking advantage of free agency is seeing them top up with Kpp players from struggling clubs eg Frawley etc So we're is this so called equalisation the AFL are talking about?

Club needs to provide free counselling for pain & suffering... Goes to show how far off the mark the club has been in the last 50yrs in getting things right across all departments... No reflection on current regime, but recognition of milestone members would not be the highest thing on their list....

Agree gambling addiction destroys life's.... The smaller clubs like ours need stadium deals were they can make money not write out cheques due to ridiculous high costs Eg Etihad stadium a disaster for most clubs..... When you look @ Geelong you would want to play 11 home games there & make 500k a game... Oops I forget this is not a home & away comp it's a TV fixture ratings competition!

The below represents poor drafting, development & culture.... Whilst now it's in the past... The club should never allow this debacle to ever happen again.... Free agency aside on some of the players departure it reflects the club inability to attract & keep players! Scully (pick 1), Morton (4), Gysberts (11), Frawley (12), Cook (12), Blease (17), Tapscott (18), Strauss (19), Maric (21) McLean (5) Sylvia(3) Trengove may never play again, Moloney & Rivers... All gone....

A sad end to an era of poor drafting & development 08-2012 of so many early picks!

I don't know which club some of you guys were following pre 2014... It was an absolute train wreck of poor decisions made by the wrong people, crap culture & development... Players wanting to jump ship... Coaches made scapegoats.... All roads point to Schwab & Connolly!

How many careers has the MFC stalled or derailed in the last decade????

It amazes me that some of our supporters live in denial of what occurred pre Roos era! Players walked out of the club because it stunk! Why would Brock donate 10k then want to leave???

People are quick to have a crack & Brock..... Brock highlighted the abysmal culture & poor development which occurred during our disastrous era from 07-13..... Maybe your lack of culture & poor development has seen so many early picks of our club delisted...... We seem to forget that Connolly & Schawb screwed our club with the tanking issues! Whilst Brock may not have been the best player around, I'm sure our club didn't help his cause!

Too many people here wanting to find the next champion in the draft..... it's a lottery & it's only part of the process.. Great players are developed in a good club with good culture & coaches... Our record over the last decade is terrible in developing players! Frost can be developed to be a kpp backman & has a couple of years in the system, the alternative is go to the draft & hope & wait 2-3 yrs...

Amazing posts...club is damn if they do & damn if they don't! Club picked up a defender with games under his belt who can be further developed to be a 10 yr Kpp to replace frawley! The same posters would be sinking their boots into the club if we let him go & picked up a spud @ 23... Stop looking @ the glass 1/2 empty!

No different to free agency... Player still gets to another club.... We have won less than 12 games in 3 yrs ....

When he wins a brownlow & plays in a GF we can compare him to Woe....Club may have a trade occurring or a young gun they want to target.... Reality of footy now....

As a footy club we need to get better with creating good culture & development... So players are attracted to our club.... Tyson is a good example ... It can be done whilst FA is favouring top clubs the MFC Can be a club of choice to attract good players.....

This has to be the biggest, most blatant act of inequality in at least 10 years. Incredible that O'Rourke is nominating the team he wants to play for after only a couple of years in the comp. AFL has to sign off on all trades, they should step in and say 'enough'.

Nothing was wrong with old trade system... Player chose his club & a trade was done.... We can't change it & it favours the top clubs.... Positive though we have picks 2 & 3 ... We need to nail these & get 2 guns like a buddy & roughed & then build a premiership club! Look at the Rabbitos ..... It can be done!
