Reality is opposition supporters etc want to tear down a club that’s won a flag recently, in particular pure & blues who both have won only 1 flag between them since 2000. I kindly remind them of this & they shut up. The % all went wrong buy decisions made across coaches & players … so suck it up & accept we’re not good enough & find ways to improve., took the cats 11 seasons to win another after 2011 !

Gary Lyon on the couch sums up perfectly suck it up didn’t play well enough come back for preseason training to get fitter & better full stop .. coaches get better improve ur game plan, blowtorch should be on all of them inc Goody but even stronger on port power as same coach 10yrs + no gf or a flag! We all know the dumb 50s, frees & more missed shots, but will we ever know why Grundy wasn’t played & appears Goodwin ditched the idea long before the finals. Will go down as biggest balls up of a trade ever!

Sure fwd line injuries impacted all but our game plane was found wanting… the field kicking was poor, I’m sorry both Hunter & Langdon kicks were poor as! Viney dropped off, Salem also but his health issues impacted him, T Mac feel for the guy as his injuries have slowed him too much , needed to make Grundy work as max getting older but Goody has slammed the door..need injection of speedy forwards

Picked up on something from Goodwin presser that he would be more involved in the drafting process of new players, just sounded like he wasn’t happy with how this had taken place…

The blunder was even larger not playing him with so many fwds going down in our 2 most important games & have schache as a sub incase Gawn wend down is a slap on the face to Grundy & all members/supporters… one questions how the rest of the coaching agreed to this & if so all should go! This may be harsh but I question why we extended his contract with another year to go, sure he’s our drought breaking premiership coach but 0-4 in finals all at the G is poor & who cares how many top 4 finishes, needed to watch and see… why port signed Hinkley again is beyond me!

Apart from our missed shots to bury the game, giving away dumb 50s and free reversals, the last goal saw 1 defender vs 4 blues, were the hell were May & lever etc defending to the last minute, our biggest strength also cost us!

Were did our defenders go it was 4 vs 1 when we copped that last goal, our generals in May & lever got sucked up the ground, unbelievable dumb decisions all night including dumb 50m penalties & free reversals ..

Goodwin said Schache was the sub only if Gawn got injured, unbelievable obviously a falling out with Grundy and not valued by him a complete 360 by the coach, frankly not acceptable if this is the case

Schache was a sub to back up for Gawn if injured .. Goodwin said this at the presser, comical whilst Grundy sat in the stands he rather have Schache who played 2 senior games with 2 possessions.. something has gone pair shape with grundy & Goodwin

Correct had social behaviour issues and would always be a risk .. maybe the Penny dropped at gws non football state etc .. you can imagine the if he did come back and went of track, posters would say why dud we get him back!

Well documented but will the club ever explain what went wrong this disastrous trade & why he was tried with all of our fwds going down and why not used as a sub for a back up if Gawn went down instead of Shache ???

Tell me another finals coach who would have picked Tmac who is clearly not Afl finals standard & Sache who has done nothing in the 2 games and didn’t use him for fresh legs when T Mac looked cooked whilst we have a 200cm AA ruck & paying him 600k plus to not play .. Goodwin & club néed to explain this disaster!

Tough review needed as 0-4 finals loses at our home ground! Understanding the injuries to our fwds runs deep but The Grundy disaster needs explaining what went wrong? was it Gawn not willing to give up his ruck share? I’m not blaming Gawn a 6 x time AA a premiership captain but something isn’t right. Goodwin needs to own this sure players missed shots 16-28 over 2 finals is poor but player selection eg Sache played 2 games and did nothing yet was a sub but not used why???

Spot on it’s pathetic and laughable! Who’s held accountable for the Grundy disaster??? Schache sitting on the pine not used another strange selection whilst t Mac should be out to pasture! Goodwin another 2 years to oversee the demise of this list touted to win multiple flags!

Feeling guttered as once again this team is finding away to lose and the afl world is reconnecting the mfc to the failures of an before our 21 flag which always get views as a covid flag. The straight sets exits , 2 seasons in a row will raise its ugly head and questions, can this club deal & sustain continued success due to 5 decades in the wilderness. Reinforcing this the decision to get Grundy has failed miserably and why wasn’t he used in 2 finals whilst we watched a 4/5 ruck contests in our fwd 50 with no Dees player competing. watching T Mac who isn’t AfL standard, whilst we had Schache as a sub who only played 2 games prior , why have him as a sub??? twice in 2 weeks wasted opportunities in front of goal & the continued bombing thinking we still had swarta & Neitz as our fwds, the window is almost shut yet another 2 years for Goody was approved before the finals.. yeah his our last premiership coach & yet could be attached to not winning another final and watching us fall of the cliff which all supporters have seen many a time!

Review needs to be on Goodwin & coaching staff who agreed to the Grundy trade which is a disaster , not playing him & watching 4-5 times with no ruck in our fw50 was pathetic! Watching Schache sit on the pine who played on 2 games for the season whilst T Mac should have retired long ago, absolute Amature hour by Goodwin

Your too nice .. Goodwin needs to be held accountable or ever agreed to the Grundy deal! Our 2 most important games & he wasn’t used?? Whilst no contest in the ruck 4-5 times tonight???Yet Schache played 2 games for the season & wasnt used whilst T Mac did nothing! Yze will be gone who was a big part of our premiership strategy. So, Josh Schache. Played 2 games this year: Round 7 against Nth Melbourne Round 23 against Hawthorn 10 disposals, 1 goal, both games combined. But we bring him in as the sub for the do or die final - yet we’re paying Brodie 6/700k, we had no ruck contest for 4-5 times in the f50 …. Unbelievable
