What a great first game to have the family there together for the first time , 2 and 4 year old and my partner until she had to bail for an event after half time . The 2 carlton blokes behind us where loud that was ok and had been involved in some junior footy earlier that day which is a worry . I’ll say they were watching a different game and although bad decisions were made by the umpires it wasnt every kick paid as they would have you believe. From a mate who watches tiges every week they bring it to ground 8 out of 10 times crashing the contest in the air . Regardless if its the smallest player competing . They work to get front of the pack and back because they know its coming. Harmes Brayshaw and a host of players were not competitive in the air Tuesday night . Its as if only our talls are marking or competent options and we have that mindset . its time to drill down and fix this .

I think his intercepts were ok last game but think the different ground and his spatial awareness with kicking may be an issue . The crows would often kick from intercepts and usually had a spare 20-30 m away or room for someone like a lynch on a long lead to the wing . North covered us well on transition and forced lever into a perfect kick situation on the mcg not easy but he can and will .

Positioned himself against the roos in good marking territory and reads the play as good as anyone. disposal wasnt great and clanged a couple of one on one contests . He will get there , hasnt played much at the G or with this group , it will be turnaround soon .
