  1. We just gained pick 3 and pick 10 in exchange for pick 6 and our 2016 first round pick.
  2. We just gained 3 and 10 for 6 and a future first round pick.
  3. Yeah, fair call. They get their pick 5 anyway. St Kilda on the other hand, while they lose pick 5, they get back Carlisle and 14. That is better than just handing over pick 5.
  4. Saints land Carlisle, that is massive. Great deal for St Kilda, they held off on pick 5 (as a straight swap), didn't rush, now they have Carlise and pick 14. Great trading.
  5. Do you know if there is any footage of Weideman? He is one player I can't seem to find any footage of.
  6. We have a good young list, a lot of talent. Adding Menzel to that list would be fantastic, but I agree, I can't really think of a player equivalent to Kerridge. Perhaps we could offer our second round pick this year, and our 2016 second rounder, or something along those lines.
  7. I wasn't specially talking about Howe or MFC. I was just referring to way Collingwood handled the Beams deal. At the time of the Beams deal, the footy media were criticizing Collingwood for not rushing and taking 5 and 25. The Pies stood their ground and Crisp was later included in the deal. Crisp then went on to have a great year. That is the only point I was trying to make.
  8. Its ok, he has the trusted brains of Barry Prendergast to bounce ideas off of.
  9. I misread that quote. I've always hoped we'd be the club to land Tomlinson. If he is moving in with Tyson, he may as well play with us.
  10. I hope that is true. Tomlinson is going to be a very good player.
  11. Yep, and so called experts were calling 5 and 25 enough. Collingwood stood their ground, and they got Crisp - who went onto finish 3rd in their B&F. The Pies turned a negative (loss of Beams) into a positive, and they did so because they weren't in a rush to get the deal done. They stood their ground and were rewarded accordingly.
  12. We declared our hand, and we were in a rush. IMO that deal should've been ongoing even now, and we should've been prepared to walk away from it. Much like St Kilda with the Carlise deal, if that were MFC in that position pick 5 would've been handed over on day 1. All I am saying is that there is no need to rush things, I just thought that was commonsense.
  13. Well we given up 25 when we could've waited and offered 29. We made our hand known early, and we played it early. Bit quick on the trigger, that is just my opinion. Also, we can tell a club what we'd like to give up for their players, its called the trade period.
  14. I don't know about that. Kennedy can play. Undersell him at your own peril, he'll have a good 2016.
  15. I wish they'd start acting like it.
  16. Pick 29 for Melksham should've been our worst case scenario as well. We should've offered a late pick and held off on Melksham to late, then swooped in with 29 if we absolutely had to. As for Kennedy, we could've got him cheaper, and played hard ball with Howe. Pretty amateur stuff from the MFC.
  17. I remember reading various reports that Toumpas was one of our best trainers over the pre-season. Obviously its better to be a good trainer - than to be a poor trainer. But being a trainer doesn't necessarily translate into being a good footballer. And in Toumpas case it hasn't translated at all. Training is just one aspect of what it takes to be a good footballer.
  18. Yeah, lets get out of this trade period before they give him away for a bag of chips as well.
  19. Hard to even take that deal seriously.
  20. Bell can play. I thought he had a solid year, improving type, was one of Carlton's best players this year. I think they'll regret letting him go, and he will be a good pick up for Brisbane.
  21. Usually I'd subscribe to the Aussie bogan copping his right whack. But my old man has snow white hair - much like Heeney - and I am forever hearing how he used to be a target when he was younger (due to his hair). Heeney could of just been a target. He doesn't strike me as the type of kid who would look for trouble - plus a poster over at the SJW site (big footy) said that his nephew played for Sydney, witnessed the incident, and it was an unprovoked attack.
  22. I hope that today is the day where Howe comes to the realisation that he is Carlton bound.
