  1. We shouldn't win oour last 3 games but we should play like we are trying to win 3 games. Why tempt fate? Two weeks more and the whole issue is academic and whether we are good enough to beat St Kilda becomes irrelevant. Hang on course.
  2. Agree. Lets not stuff it up now for all the pain we have endured. It will be over soon. (In someways not soon enough)
  3. Could not think of anything more dysfunctional.
  4. Good Grief. That will get GC worried. Worst case of melodramatic overkill ever.
  5. And before the weasel denies another clanger. In fact the whole thread is series of clanger for our both feet in mouth expert..... http://forums.demonland.com/index.php?show...=15005&st=0
  6. Only two months ago you said...... You did say Newton had no flaws and you have raved incessantly about his skills on other threads. Want to squirm some more Freak?? Regardless, of the word "dramatically", you are still wrong and were proven wrong at the time. I gave you three players at the time you made the comment (eg Robbo and Loewe) who had dramatically improved their kicking over their career. Another absolute statement echoing profound naivety At best you're a pseudo intellectual weasel with no substance behind an oversized ego and a severely undersized understanding of the game.
  7. Miller is out of contract this year. If you add Martin to the backline then we have a surplus so Hale-Rivers is tempting.
  8. I doubt it. Miller may be delisted at year end and they could get him for free in the PSD. Old's swap of Hale for Rivers is interesting indeed.
  9. I am trying to fathom the necessity to trade this year. MFC should only be looking to trade what it has surplus in.....Newton, PJ and Bell are either surplus or not good enough. No trade value there. We are definitely not surplus in experienced players who are leaders at the Club an should play a pivotal role in the Club moving forward towards the finals. Its not just about the finals its the path taken to get there. I doubt either Bruce or Green are on the trade table this year.
  10. You have to wonder about the ego of posters who have to start threads saying "They were right" when their true colours have been worked out by every other poster. You have been made a fool on your condemnation of Miller. He is a battler but your puerile attacks on him are a reflection of you not him You haven't been Robinson Crusoe on Bell and Frawley. The fact is Freak your proven wrong frequently and this thread once more evidences your notoriety and your lack of knowledge by other posters Just for starters and this is only at a glance.... 1. Newton....has no flaws. 2. A players kicking can never be improved. (Glad you support Petterd. His disposal has been one of his weaknesses. 3. Forward defensive pressure is overrated. There are three of the truly dumb arguments you have festered here. And there are indeed more.. As for your resume..... I would hightail it down to Centrelink where it can be properly assessed.
  11. Interesting proposal. It means Adelaide have to clear another player off their list to accommodate Bell. Given the spoken quality of the draft I dont think there is too much difference between pick 13 and 18. I dont think Dangerfield justifies pick 2 ATM. I wonder if Bell did not come from SA, would he be continually put up for trade to AC or PP without any sign that he offers them any thing? If Trengrove is going to be as good as they say he is then I would take Trengove.
  12. I will gladly trade PJ and Bell for a first rounder. Is that fair? B)
  13. While I agree that this years draft may be different, I just cant see a player who has not been able to garner a place in one of the worst teams of recent memory having any trade value even as a showbag filler on a deal. If middle order teams wish to bolster their lists then there must be better choices around than Bell.
  14. Why dont your make better use of the hand you dont type with and put it up in the air and admit and list your errors Freak? Its sure to take some time.
  15. Get a late first rounder for Bell... What a win/win outcome. We get a first round pick, they get a dud. Definitely on the cards. Its likely that we will have Junior, Wheels, Wheatley and Robbo gone at year end. There a huge gap in leadership in the current group. I think we need to retain both senior players who are both capable of good performances and providing on and off field leadership. One is a prospective captain next year (Green), the other in Bruce is a strong possibility to go back to back in win the Bluey Truscott. For the picks you outline, I would rather keep them as they have more value to MFC
  16. If they gave that team louse Pickett a 200th game two years ago, Whelan if fit should get his 150th.
  17. ???? Hodge was not a PSD#1 pick If he is out of contract, I doubt he will not stay at the Hawks. And he certainly wont end up in the PSD It could indeed. Its a nice card to have when another Clubs negotiations are going badly with a very good player.
  18. I wouldn't ....And thats one reason why. We wont be trading pick 2
  19. Zac Dawson was picked by St Kilda in last years rookie draft. They did not trade anything for him.
  20. It is not demonstrative of any realistic outcome. No one will pay for NQR or crud players. And they dont suddenly get value by slipping them in deal showbag to mysteriously rebalance a lopsided trade pick swap. Like I said"ATM. Very few MFC players that the Club would willingly release would have trade value." Got anything more substantial like a worthy deal?
  21. Just proves how difficult it is to "prove" a case of tanking. Storm in a teacup and validated so by the result.
