  1. Thanks Dog. I did not hear that interview and I withdraw the specific example I used.
  2. And alarmingly neither do you.
  3. Then why the melodrama. Hatred is defined in Dictionary.com as "Intense animosity or hostility". The words you split hairs mean something much different. You raised Sylvia. I explained the frustration with him is the delivery of talent. With PJ its a matter of what he has to deliver You complained that PJ lacks opportunity but he has been the only big man fit at some points this year. His true colours were shown. And a good year last year as the best 2nd ruckman in the competition Hang my head in shame?? Really?? Wait for it. The most goals PJ has kicked in a game is 1. He has achieved that remarkable feat on no less than 17 occassions. Remarkable consistency. And for the record in three past games against Sydney he has kicked a total of 1.1. Jamar kicks 5 goals zip in a game up forward against a team that is 5th on the ladder. Its a decent collect how ever way you want to deride it. And when you compare it PJ up forward well then. Given we have Rivers, Frawley, Garland, Martin and Warnock up back I doubt it unless it was done recently for experimentation. I think your comment is an founded as your Manuka example. If anything PJ does often does not mind the opposing ruckman when they drift into the F50 and PJ has shown poor decision making done back and costly on the clanger. So we know Jamar can ruck and can play forward. There a ??? about PJ in both areas. But we can be comforted in the fact that PJ is better all round kick than Jamar. For two players who have both had limited game time. Jamar 72 games 27 goals 10 points PJ 63 games 17 goals 18 points. Not conclusive but a reasonable indication Jamar is better kick where it counts.
  4. Excuse me how is stating an opinion that a person's belief in getting draft is "delusional" personal abuse or offensive? Its neither. This is the second time in this thread you have made a personal attack on me rather than deal with the debate. Firstly you tried to backhand me for being hypocritical in saying Robbo can put his hand up. Secondly when your recent opinions on Robbo's are not different to mine, I am personally abusive and offensive. For someone who has made a point of claim to some level of inside access to Robbo, I cant see how your quoted comments that he should retire 4 weeks ago is any less abusive or offensive. In fact my quoted section on you Jaded highlights a galling double standard once again. And as always when cornered in the debate you play the person and cry foul. Frankly I would feel a sense of betrayal if I played AFL and some "supportive insider" was to use comments that I had not made public "I know for a fact that Robbo recognises that his chances of going elsewhere are slim" for her own self promotion on a public forum. But thats a case of good judgement and we know how we are going there dont we? BTW, tasteful signature line. Hope you enjoy it. P.S. Delusional - a false belief or opinion. (Dictionary.com)
  5. Oops and who would have thought it possible..... I'd run away from that post as well. Seems a theme running there.
  6. I still think he is as delusional as Yze and White were last year. Sorry if I disrespect him (*bows head slightly*). Pretty tight defensive game wasn't it? If he did not kick a few in that pressureless weekend jolly he would have been worried. I did note he played mostly on a first year player. Ratten gave a kid a chance to get an education and Robbo came through with the lesson. How disrespectful of you, Princess? I did not know we share the same view on this.
  7. Oh dear. You have been at me for being "cruel". I post something bi partisan and...... Whatever sweetie So is there any harm putting his hand up? Still think he will end up flat on his bum. How are your perennial backflips going?
  8. This year profoundly proved how shallow our ruck stocks are Jamar and Meesen are subject to injury. Meesen has yet to show he can cut it. This year has shown PJ can carry the can or cut the mustard consistently at this level. Martin??? If we rookie someone, they are going to younger, greener and less experienced than Spencer who we have put 2 years into . Why cut Spencer? Besides as rookie you can only play if there is a serious injury to a listed player. You really only have 4 ruck options. And this year has proven thats not enough.
  9. If he was fully fit and near his peak and the key forward in a top side. You would expect it. But any top side he is going to be one of a number of options. There is a good chance he might not get anywhere near that. Then there is the issue of defensive pressure. I am not sure Robbo will get a gig anywhere but there is no harm in putting your hand up.
  10. Not likely according to Eade. http://www.theage.com.au/news/rfnews/dogs-...0362259788.html
  11. A times we are awful and Carlton are better team than us but we left little to chance. By the on field structure we had at times we were certain not to do a North or Freo this week. Lucky we were experimenting..*Cough*
  12. For the record, PJ and Meesen are contracted in 2010. Jamar is our No 1 ruck but has had a few injuries. Clearly in front of the other. IMO he stays. Meesen - Unknown quantity with a potentially career threatening injury. I am not sure if he is even doing training at the moment. No certainty. PJ- All round whatever but is not a ruckman. And you want to get rid of Spencer? We are short rucks even if we keep him.
  13. I have yet to see hatred directed toward any footballer on this site. BTW, Sylvia has something. PJ...well This sentence may prove your point about awareness. PJ should feel lucky his contract does not expire this year. Jamar with his five goal is probably 4 goals ahead of any time PJ has gone forward. Raises a question about all round ability. In limited opportunities, Jamr has shown himself to be a better ruck and a better option up forward. May be PJ is a good full back? Uh Oh wait.....
  14. I understand WYL. I share your concern. I have made some pointed comments about Brock's overall performance since 2006 and got howled for it. My view is that he has plateaud in that time where injury and I think the changing game have impacted him. I would expect in a press conference he would say he is not injured. Does not mean he is not. I hope he gets a good pre season under his belt and he lifts his performances where his body can stand the rigours of a full season of AFL. Thats my hope
  15. If it were a hand of cards (500) I would call an open misere. Dont think we will [censored] Petterd unless there is a deal there.
  16. My thoughts precisely. A first round pick? Pick 10?? I really doubt it. Inconsistency, lacks pace, still managing his OP and has numerous off field problems. Negates his upside .Worth pick 25 on the market. Not worth trading He stays. A chequered CV with upside. We would never get the value in a weak draft for him. Second rounder offered, second rounder rejected.
  17. We are short of a good ruckman. We werent short a culture and talent waste like TJ who it was clear was not tagged that day and his performance was an aberration. No sometimes, trades can benefit both, either or even neither club. There is no hard and fast rule on that.
  18. Carlton kicked 23 goals!!! Even on paper we had Warnock and Garland out. Carlton would have a better defence with Waite and Jamieson there. Thornton's honest but no star. They kicked 5 goals each and its newsworthy and our forward line was not the problem. Comfortable win and no injuries. They were always a class above Ratten, from his own experience would know we were experimenting and the gas was off the game. Ever thought we were so uncommitted with the rotations? In the 2nd qtr we had Martin, Jurrah, Jamar and Robbo. Not a crumber inside the Fwd 50. I cant think we even had a solid tag. Its hard to chide Carlton where MFC has put the rack in the cue.
  19. Firstly, you accuse him of being selfish for playing possibly injured when it quite clear the Club would be aware of it. If supporters are seeing issues with McLean and have done so for awhile then its fanciful to think that the Club would not be aware. Secondly, how do you know if he is injured and what his injury is and that it will make his recovery worse? Who would you have selected in his place that is actually fit at the moment? Trent Zomer? But if he is injured then great care should be taken with him. I would prefer him to be put on the injured list next week and let Wheels run around on one leg.
  20. I agree that the lack of defensive pressure by both sides made the game look more like a game of basketball going end to end. Its was a game at 3/4 pace with no sting or urgency in it. Jamar 5, Robbo 5 and we didn't have an attack. FWIW, I thought we were inferior through the midfield and with the use of the ball
  21. Unfair as I am sure the Club would be aware of his predicament. Given the Club's long injury list who could an allegedly 85% fit McLean be keeping out of the team
  22. Deserves his 150. Great career. If not for his soft tissue injurues he would have deserved his 200 games. Hope he gets up for his send off. Well done wheels!
  23. If anything it might actually support your point of view that he is carrying an injury. I hope that is the case. Because he moves like molasses at the moment and the 20% he played in the middle was insignificant. And for 80% he was up forward as a smaller forward he hardly got a sniff. But I agree with you that he must not be 100% fit. I hope he gets an uninterrupted pre season and regains that yard or two of pace he has lost and the necessary fitness you need for a full season. 6. Sylvia 5. Jetta 4. Davey 3. Jamar 2. Robbo 1. Junior
  24. A chill pill or headache tablet to reduce fever. Rest up.
  25. Maybe they have worked out after years of injury he's gone as an AFL footballer. I watched him in the Casey- Coburg game and he looked slow and with no impact. Anyway Richmond are idiots without that.
