  1. I would have thought wirh some parts of Etihad, AAMI and Gabba this year you could have worn Everest ioe shoes and still would have slipped. Given how in some cases a clod of soil is dislodged about the size of a large dinner plate and that players are moving and changing direction at great speed, the stops or moulded debate is neither here nor there.
  2. Sadly it is. The message is not the hard part. Many of the players you whinge about over the past 2.5 years have not been on the list for that period or have been delisted or have question marks on them if they have been here the full distance.
  3. Never said it was you. It was a response to some of the thought provoking dregs that came forth Do you think the Club would invest a No 1 pick in Watts and allow him to woops slip to GC? Now think about it. Seriously.
  4. And you still haven't got it, Agent. Well done. Keep venting... I am sure it helps you in the long run. You probably need to shout a few of them to a couple of people.
  5. Its no wonder you leave the contract negotiations to professionals like Harrington. Watts' disposition re the other players has been done to death...and resurrection. His first year was a write off due to his final year of studies. He has yet to complete a full pre season. He is phyisically underdeveloped for AFL football. He lacks the junior football pedigree of Scully or Trengove having spent most of it in the APS schools system. He was always going to be a development player. The club have clearly mapped out his development program and know his timeline. He has lots to things to work on. But there are a number of positives about the kids Pay him base wages for the next two years = Great thinking that.
  6. Too much sense Choko for the torch bearers. I saw similar bursts of wisdom on the news tonight with the G20 protesters atop burning police cars.
  7. Which question? The sensible one or the silly one in Post 92? Off a beer now.... Freak will be sweating...
  8. Up to end of 2009 I would have agreed. They were very poor in Rd 3. All 3 were gone then.
  9. I didn't. You made the connection... I told you that Freak was not linking Petterd to the property deal. Duh! Keep digging....dig,dig,dig........ Uh oh wait there's an edit..... That's not what you were asking about before but it least shows you are now thinking. Well done on re-read.
  10. He was injured last year and in the games he played he was good. He just could not get on the track to do it. Its not necessarily used as a wake up call and not in Jamars case. One yr contracts are the domain of fringe playes or players who have questionable fitness records for AFL and should be used sparingly. There are more savvy ways to encourage player performance I wonder if there are any performance or game requirements in his 2 yr contract given his past injuries.
  11. Bock is a big out for Adelaide. And Porplyzia out too! I havent followed the Crows closely this year but I thought Porplyzia was one of their locla finds off the rookie list
  12. Did re read what you attacked? Or are you content with your say nothing comment to fudge what you didnt understand?
  13. He did not say that. Re read what you have quoted. The connection with Petterd was the odds of him going to the GC were the same as Ablett's odds. He stated Ablett was certain to go. Back to you Sherlock B)
  14. Shhhh!!! I wonder if the odds have changed on Abletts and Petterd's respective moves.
  15. But hang on isnt Petterd from the GC and that another poster had it on good authority that he was going to GC??? Just shows the stupidity of those posters pandering to speculation without the facts. Anyway its interesting he has decided to stay.
  16. Petterd is 22 in July. At 22 and in 2005, Steve Johnson was a talented but selfish slackarse who exhibited little defensive skill. An undisciplined showy footballer. It took a couple of stupid incidents at the end of 2006, for Johnson to see the light and to really cash in on his talent. I am not sure of the relevance of the Steve Johnson analogy. Both are talented footballers (I think SJ more so) but one has had attitude problemswhile the other player has had fitness and performance issues. I hope he will be a star footballer for us never the less.
  17. Dont watch them and harden up. And we did not need another Watts thread either.
  18. Tough gig AFL. Rising Star nomination in Rd 11 then dropped in Round 13. Rumour has it that he's had a growth spurt to 192cm and needs time at Casey to reach 193cm for AFL.
  19. He is not the greatest. But kicked 2 and had a goal assist in our last game. In a forward line like ours it should be able to buy you another week shouldn't it? Who else will be taking his position?
  20. WOW. The man with the plan. Well then that settles it. Proof positive that Ablett and Petterd are going. Geez I wonder if that no flaws forward Newton will get us a big deal with GC. Definite Category 1 or 2. Seriously though Category 3 for Petterd if he goes.
  21. Per the Ops post Tapscott was 2 weeks away. Round 13 plus 2 weeks plus 7 weeks equals ....... Chill Yeah stuff'em lets do it without regard for the players disposition.
  22. His six solid weeks will probably involve 2 half games at Casey 2nds as he is coming off a low base of match fitness. And he turns 18 next week. He is still a kid, bulky or otherwise. Save your money and spend it at the Demons Megastore. I hope your wishful thinking is correct.
  23. He has done little or no pre season and will have missed 15 weeks of the season. He would have little or no match fitness and would probably start in the Casey 2s and play a half for a week or two then extend it to a full game and might be a possibility for a couple of full games in the VFL 1's. If you think he will get an AFL game and a rising star nomination in the last round (wow he's a star) or you may think footballers are plug in and play types.
