  2. I remember getting excited in 2007, and 2005, and 2004, and 2002.... Forgive me for not expecting much just yet. Yes, it's getting greener but as good as our side might look compared to our previous teams, other teams look pretty impressive too.
  3. Its J.McVeigh. Riewoldt or Van Berlo I like on yours. Perhaps a package deal of sorts might be sorted somehow? I'll throw one your way
  4. I learnt last year that you have to be reasonable for people to be reasonable in return. No use offering up ridiculous picks... Or undervaluing Dees players! Anyway, happy with this trade. Montagna / McVeigh available for a goal kicker... Any interest?
  5. So I've just spent my day sending out trade requests. Maybe tomorrow I can get back to work...
  6. I'm both elated and disappointed with my draft. I went in with the view of stocking my mids and defence but I severely neglected my forward line. Quite happy with Ablett and I think my backs stack up with the rest. McEvoy being Saints only ruck should help me, as Goldstein did for me last year. B Enright Fisher Bock Hargrave....Jaensch Pittard C Ablett Montagna J.McVeigh Robinson Palmer...Masten McLean C.Smith S.Hogan R.McEvoy... Koschitske F Tippett Knights Butcher M.Johnson(D/F)...Harper Hill Veszpremi Time will tell, Butcher and Tippett are both capable of goals but not sure how consistent they'll be. Relying on break out years from Palmer, Robinson, Masten. Good luck to everybody. If you see something you like on my list (not Ablett), send a trade offer my way
  7. I couldn't love that any more if I tried! Great stuff!
  8. This is our best case scenario imo
  9. How much do you think Blease gets paid?
  10. Has nobody ever been late to work due to factors beyond their control? From the information we have been given, he was simply late to a morning meeting. This happens, hardly a fineable offence I have heard it mentioned that 'His preparation was improvised' meaning it was probably his most important meeting of the week. Understandable to miss the game for this reason, but not a fine.
  11. Give me a spell! What do they expect when they have to travel down Punt Rd every day?
  12. Come at me, Ablett or Swan or Pendlebury or Franklin or jeeez Gonna have a fair few to choose from!!
  13. Sorry I have looked over this thread but I just couldn't work it out. Is this going to be like an AFL draft where it is 1-18, then the repeat order? Or will it be like last year, 1-18 then the order is reversed.
  14. That sounds fair enough JackAttack. I'm all for this live draft. Cant wait!!
  15. To me the keeper league sounds like a good idea. However as mentioned above it would be unfair to start immediately with 2011 teams. Personally I'd like to limit it to 2 keepers per year, however I do see the merit in having more keepers and the list growing each year like a real AFL side. This does get thrown out of whack with promotion/demotion. Just wanted to mention again my preference for the draft.
  16. Was speaking to Snomed last week and he was keen. I've alterted him to this thread so he should joint shortly.
  17. Special press conference at 1:30 today, maybe captain announcement?
  18. Hi Jack Attack, I was looking at the site and it looks like we did Ultimate Footy Plus? If this is the case please let me know and I'll chip in to cover the cost
  19. What I want C - Trengove V - Grimes Jones L - Moloney Watts Rivers What I expect C - Green V - Moloney L - Grimes Rivers Trengove Clark Jones
  20. Just getting in early with a draft request, would it be ideal (or possible) to have the draft run over two nights? For those who can't be at the computer on draft night are relying on their pre selected picks and at the half way point of the draft their needs might change. By running half the draft on night one, people can reorder their list the next day or do further research if required before finishing the draft on night two. Sort of like a National and Pre Season draft. Yes I know, I should have something better to think about other than UF drafting, but I don't.
  21. Total Score in 2011 - 52980 Ranking in 2011 - 12,349 Ave - 2207.5
  22. Why not... In modern footy I think you need to split the side up to categories like so and order players in order for their position. Some double up due to their versatility and this puts them up the pecking order, especially in case of injuries. (haven’t taken into account any rookies. Small Defenders / Taggers – Bartram, Bail, Bennell, Strauss Tall Defenders – Frawley, Garland, Sellars, Rivers Running Defenders - Frawley, Grimes, Bail, Bennell, Garland, Blease Inside Midfielders – Trengove, Moloney, McKenzie, Sylvia, Grimes, Gysberts, Nicholson, Jetta, Bate Outisde Midfielders – Trengove, Sylvia, Jones, Tapscott, Morton, Bail, Bennell Tall Forward – Clark, Watts, Cook, Dunn, Bate, McDonald Medium Forwards – Howe, Petterd, Green, Jurrah Crumbing Forward – Jurrah, Davey, Blease Ruck – Jamar, Martin, Spencer, Sellar B Bartram Frawley Garland HB Grimes Sellar Rivers C Bail Moloney Jones HF Jurrah Watts Green F Howe Clark Davey R Jamar McKenzie Trengove INT Martin Petterd Tapscott (Morton) Next - Dunn Bate Bennell In this side Bail would be our midfield tagger while Bartram takes the most dangerous small forward. Frawley and Sellar take the bigger to forwards while Garland takes whoever. Rivers plays his normal third man up. Grimes acts as the quarterback however this position could easily be Jones, Bennell, Strauss, Blease Our forward line does look a lot better with Clark there. Best thing to happen to Jurrah (but will Jurrah get a game? I could have easily left him out) Depending on performance Sylvia will come in for some1 in round 2.
