2012-3 was the worst midfield work I've ever seen. Whether or not he had the cattle, no plan was able to ever stop opposition teams making us look like complete amateurs through the guts on the rebound. I am looking forward to a midfield coach that can teach proper defensive structures because it doesn't come down to cattle to get in the right place - or be told to.

10 years into a career, he should have played a few good quarters. You are putting forth games we lost (Richmond 2011, Gold Coast). He also played very well against Hawthorn one night when we lost. He does not turn games. I think he'd be a player we should look at trading. People think he's great because he looks like the archetypal footballer, but his output is substandard for a high draft pick at this point in his career. -

I think people fall into the trap of thinking Ballantyne, Dawson, Mzungu, Clarke aren't excellent, reliable players. And that's the B-grade players. Fyfe, Hill, Pav, Sandilands, McPharlin. Great squad they have.

Hope over reason. Will have a TJ-esque career. We will crap on in ten years about what could have been and how great his skills were. This is professional sport fellas, we have plenty of better backs AND forwards than JW, trade him for a mid.

Two things: 1. It will be nice for the new 'messiah' to actually be the one in charge of the football department (unlike Hogan, Watts, Stynes, etc) 2. Cost will be exorbitant but last time we paid peanuts and got a monkey.

BigFooty has some good trashy reading. A good source says JMac is coming back to Melbourne. An unknown source says Roos put things in place to relocate to Melb in July.
