  1. I feel like we would be entitled to the entire CBD and would hope for levels of disruption to match Ajax's '95 Champion's League win...
  2. Given the culture of team-based selflessness permeating through the joint, I suspect that there has been high class communication between coaches and all of Brown, Weideman and TMac. Brown would not have been dropped out of the blue and I'm sure everyone is on the same page in terms of it being a long season (+ finals season) and that we are attempting to build something so immense that there will be bucketloads of success to go around for years to come. Everybody will get a pail to carry home.
  3. Fantastic Dees. BT whispering in the commentary box, trying his ASMR routine, made me turn on the abc commentary. Then had to listen to Mark McClure cheering on his hapless Blues. I stuck with it because that's how bad BT is. The Demons!!!
  4. @Altona-demon search 'The Dees Podcast' in a podcast app. Light hearted and not huge on the analysis but that's what Demonland pod is for ?
  5. The Dees Podcast with Slavs and Glove has been going for years and it's fun hearing those lads finding themselves following a good team. They don't talk much about Collingwood though, which is weird for AFL content.
  6. I did also. As an aside, I ran into the Fish at a bar in the Dam a few years ago and ended up having a few with him. He is actually extremely eloquent, bright and friendly. Wouldn't put a few Simo-Garfunkian pearls of wisdom past him.
  7. I know we are all traumatised after decades of [censored], but we are 8-0 and a different set of players has made the 'best on' list in each victory, all of which have been different. We have system, structure and the special sauce of team-cohesion. No change. (Unless injuries and/or massive cork-thighs demand it)
  8. Must be a different Amsterdam
  9. Oh Demonland, where the biggest star-signing any of us have ever witnessed can turn into a debate about whether Paul Roos was worth the money spent on him. I'm with @binmanand @Rodney (Balls) Grinter. All the goody goodness to Goodwin's good Dees. Loving this ride.
  10. Exactly. Cracking tackle which allowed Fritta to run on to it. Worth his weight in gold for giving our second and third fowards more freedom. Will start clunking marks soon enough.
  11. Sure, agree. Am not a Melksham apologist. But at 6-0 against bottom of the table North... I reckon we can risk having a look at it.
  12. Happy to see what Melksham's i50 delivery potential + BBB might equate to.
  13. He won't make AA because Bruce has retired so isn't screaming his name in ecstasy into a microphone and 'Lever' has too many syllables for BT to handle.
  14. I think this is how the crusades might have started... Onwards, Dees, to the Holy grail!
  15. Yep, cracking episode and fully support the push for better access to stats and more deep-level tactical anlysis. @Fanatique Demon, between you, the bloke who called up from Brussels (happy up coming birthday chap) and a few of us here in Amsterdam, we have the old Frankish realm MFC supporter base covered ?
  16. Good question. No. Our current glue is a selfless team ethos. That is not Howe's style. Let him stay at Collingwood to languish at the bottom if the ladder, where he can take his hangers before turning it over to the opposition and I don't have to care about it.
  17. I can't believe he has one in spite of spell check.
  18. Not sure on answer to TMAC/Brown/Weids question for this week, but... I have always loved watching Ben Brown play. He reminds me of the joy of playing footy as a junior. I love his ridiculous run up because you can see the 20 something years of learned processes going into it, each time. This clip has me excited to see him on the G, clunking marks and kicking bags for the Dees.
  19. The kind of original and quality content one can expect when you make an illiterate drunkard your chief football writer.
  20. If we win this, the lid is going to explode off the bandwagon!
  21. just watch the final quarter four times
  22. Are you assuming that these conversations haven't been had at various times over the journey? The whole point of footy is to sing the song after with your team mates. It doesn't come at the expense of serious self critique.
  23. I love that we have been winning convincingly while some of our best players have struggled at different times. Oppo coaches are putting excess time into negating Clarrie, petracca, May, TMac (in form), and yet players like Hunt, ANB, Jordon and Sparky-pants have stepped up at times when it was needed. None of our wins this year have had the same 'Best on' list. That is a fantastic sign and may it long continue. Oh, and Kozzie. I [censored] love him.
