Harrison Petty
In fairness, his 2 disposals today was only marginally less than the 6 disposals he’s averaged over the last six weeks.

No Tiger on the goal line.

Hundreds, possibly thousands of hours transferring code in Fortran, Algol and COBOL onto cards never to use one iota of what I learnt - ended up teaching maths!

Welcome to Demonland: Luker Kentfield
I too like this selection. Assuming we make the top eight we’re going to need Max for at least three, possibly more tough finals. He’ll be rucking significantly less time post bye you’d think. Similarly JvR is hardly battle-hardened and his TOG may decrease a tad. Luker could well be centre stage by round 20.

Me too. Totally confused by that interweb thingy. PS I graduated in 1975 with a degree in Computer Science.

Welcome to Demonland: Shane McAdam
I’m sure Staff is a ripping bloke. I’m more than happy to have him coaching the likes of Max, JvR, Petty, Fullarton (?), BBB and our new recruit in ruck craft. But when it comes to coaching players where to position themselves inside the forward 50, how to rove to a pack etc he’s not drawing on his experience. We could well use the likes of Matthew Lloyd, J Brown or even Eddie Betts.

COACHES VOTES: Round 11
- Welcome to Demonland: Shane McAdam
With Kosi, McAdam, Fritta, Chin, JvR, Fritta, Perry and (soon) Melksham we’ve got a veritable smorgasbord of talent, youth, experience and ability among our forwards. As I’ve said elsewhere, I have my doubts that Stafford is up for the challenge to have them work as a team. Exhibit A: Kosi and McAdam hopelessly flying for a speccy simultaneously.- COACHES VOTES: Round 11

My sentiments exactly. Three marks and seven disposals between them. Petty laid one tackle. Similarly poor results for Petty last week - five disposals and one mark. As you rightly say, the cupboard is bare as far as a replacement for Petty, but surely BBB on one leg or Sestan, albeit 9cm shorter, would offer more of a contest.- POSTGAME: Rd 11 vs St. Kilda
As far as I'm aware Troy Chaplin is our Backs' coach and Stafford our Forwards' coach. The reason I bring that up because, IMV, our forward line has not improved one iota in the last two and a bit years. I know I'm off-topic but: We're expecting a former ruckman (Stafford) to turn a beckman (Petty) into a forward. That is failing miserably on every measure. Petty is a great, one grab, mark. But we've only seen it twice this year (v Hawks and Cats). He's a nice kick but we've seen that once as a forward (Tigers last year). Petty is frequently out of position when the ball enters our fifty. I can't recall seeing him on a lead. Currently Harrison is not deserving of his place in the team. A knowlegeable forwards' coach may change that. Similarly McAdam would benefit from having a former player experienced in forward craft coaching him.- GAMEDAY: Rd 11 vs St. Kilda
