  2. That's the whole idea bj ! I don't want to be taken too seriously . It's just opinions after all , with the odd factual account . We all like to get our points across in different ways . The best posts in my opinion are the ones which have a "serious" element about them laced with a bit of humour . As for Kramer , he's fairly cluey in his own way , is quite popular with the ladies , never needs money , never works , has some wild and wacky ideas - some of which have worked in real life ( The Beach ! ) All in all a very good role model !

  3. I dislike sugar coated reports like these. All positives. They could just say "Everyone is doing well" and be done with it. It's a shame that we have to assume that Blease is going to be playing forward rather than Brown giving us a rundown on what they have planned for him

  4. At a guess, I would say that Sam hasn't the fitness to play the midfield yet and his defensive skills aren't up to scratch. I see Sam moving into the midfield when he builds his motor with more pre seasons under his belt

  5. Realistically, if you have three ND picks at 36+ and four rookie picks, your chances of success with each one are not that high. If we got one or two average AFL players out of that lot I'd be more than pleased. If we get a Bail, a McDonald and a Mackenzie, it's better than average. People are expecting too much if they think it will be much better than that.

  6. Never buy that argument, I get a GA ticket most years we play there, only the drawn match in 2006 from memory sold out before the bounce. Never seen any trouble either, but wouldn't pay the high reserved seat prices to sit in a sea of cats. The problem I see is the same supporters refusal to travel to Docklands. Be a shame when Geelong complete their ground and there'll still be just a smattering of MFC supporters looking like a game at Subiaco. Doesn't help when the Club treat it as an interstate game for the players and supporters either.

  7. One guy was speeding (speed not mentioned) and the other did nothing. Public Enemy No.1 and No.2

  8. That kind of thing is at best a one liner at the bottom of another article, not in an article of its own with a headline as sensationalised as the one it was under. Given that the clubs are on "holidays" (i.e. not training) I'd suggest that Vince is entitled to be where ever he wants to be at whatever hour he wants to be there. This is just a classic case of newspaper journalists trying to find a story where there isn't one.

  9. That's a very interesting perspective Oracle. My highlight prediction for 2012 is that during the year Andy Demetriou will suddenly resign as AFL CEO to take up a similar role with the Indian Cricket Board. One of his first responsibilities will be to investigate the problems on the sub continent of corruption and gambling on cricket matches and after an exhaustive two day inquiry into the subject he will absolve all parties suspected of wrongdoing and give the all clear declaring that the sport is well run and that there's no gambling problem in Indian cricket.
