I'm almost 100% certain you've lost a butload of beer, mate. Sorry, but it's only 4 in a row.

Damn - Well that adds to an already ordinary 2008 season

Ahh well, the back pocket will be a bit lighter however he's actually a good bloke for a Pies supporter

he will insist I help demolish the slab.

You would drink Millers Chill? Trust me, better off losing the bet, that stuff is for chicks!

Turn it Up Wratha - MC got rave reviews on Beer O'Clock on SEN last Thursday.

I can't dispute your call just yet as haven't tried it.

Stay tuned for some feedback.

WYL please give us your wisdom on Beer Chang.

What does it taste like & why is it heaps better than Miller's Chill?

If I'm happy with your report I'm picking up a slab on the way home from The G after we have

belted the Dockers.

Hey I can dream can't I?

Well beer is like music, wholly subjective, but beer chang! now that stuff is rank. Sell it cheap as chips in Thailand and often even the locals won't drink it yet it sells over here as a boutique! if forced to drink a Thai beer go Singha but if in Thailand avoid the locals and go the beer lao. In my opinion the worlds finest brew

also i would suggest you heed WC advice and stay away from American beer. Notourisly water like. I haven't tried Miller Chill but if it is anything like Millers Draught it is merely a cheap Carona substitute which is only good when you've had too many real beers and you need something one step above a bacardi breezer that is easy to slide down.

I have been with my fiancee for almost 5 years and they have not won a Queens birthday clash in our time; much to her disgust.

Ah, I'll alsways have Queens birthday.

For what it's worth, Millers Chill is a chicks drink, Miller GD is water, and Chang is a good beer, but don't pay $43. $39.99 very day of the week at Dan Murphy's.

Also, Sapporo, Asahi. etc are all overpriced clean dry asian beers. Nice but not at their price point.

Millers chill is like drinking a corona with a lime in it...i am completely hooked on it. And i couldn't care less if people think it's a chick drink, if that is the case then a real man shouldn't drink VB or carlton or your fancy asian beer but slam back a few darwin stubbies instead. I guess each to their own.

OK have now slammed down my first Miller's Chill - Not bad a little tangy for a Beer.

Also tried an Aussie version called Barefoot Radler - Lime & Lemon twist.

The Barefoots have Miller's covered.

Now back to the footy

Speaking of the 'wick, turns out it isn't a bad spot to catch a Dees game on Foxtel. I think the guv is a Dees man and there was a bit of excitement in the room when we kicked the first 3 against the Cats

Would be good to have a pub we can call our own for big games. I'm not really into these pokie joints like Bentleigh and Leighoak (that name makes me cringe) although the 'wick has them in another section

I like turtles

Miller Chill is rubbish, i've had the radler and thought much of the same. I like the European beers, Becks (not reason for my d'land name!), Stella or even an aussie such as Cascade. However on a cold winters evening a Coopers Red or Coopers dark ale are also very good.

How on Earth is this still in the Footy Section? As much as I like beer, it's got as little to do with the Dees as donuts have to catching criminals.

Tiger and Singa for me. Even the old bintang on ice is good

Aussie beers cant go past a Tooheys Extra dry. Melbourne king browns in the park with a brown paper bag is always good aswell ;)

Heinenikin in those small kegs rock aswell.... hmm I love all beer

This debate is pointless, cos everyone knows:

Bourbon > Beer.

:D

  • REPORT: Richmond

The fans who turned up to the MCG for Melbourne’s Anzac Day Eve clash against Richmond would have been disappointed if they turned up to see a great spectacle. As much as this was a night for the 71,635 in attendance to commemorate heroes of the nation’s past wars, it was also a time for the Melbourne Football Club to consolidate upon its first win after a horrific start to the 2025 season. On this basis, despite the fact that it was an uninspiring and dour struggle for most of its 100 minutes, the night will be one for the fans to remember. They certainly got value out of the pre match activity honouring those who fought for their country. The MCG and the lights of the city as backdrop was made for nights such as these and, in my view, we received a more inspirational ceremony of Anzac culture than others both here and elsewhere around the country.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.
