Memberships - Will we Make 30,000?

Featured Replies

Just got the MFC Members e-mail and they state that there are now 23.497 members.

Does anyone reckon we will hit the magic 30,000?

Remember the bad start we had last year and we had a record membership then.

Now is the time to buy your membership. The MFC clubs needs you,

Cheers,

Mr Moose

I have a theory, these re-usable membership cards, there is no urgency for Members to sign up therefor waiting till the first home game, we lose by 100+ points old members think I'm not signing up if their form turns around then I will sign up. Usually you sign up before the season so you get your card before the season starts know we don't have to. Food for thought

No.

If we are able to get 25,000 members, it would be a decent tally given the horrible pre-season and first few rounds.

26K+ would be a phenominal effort IMO.

Snowcone's chance in hell.

It hurts so much! Why are we (Demonlanders) so strong, but our other supporters so weak!

We are a club! Be a part of it, regardless of if we are winning or losing!

apparantly we have the highest supporter to member ratio in the AFL, we just have no supporters also

I agree with this.

I don't think the reusable cards idea was thought through.

My guess is about 25k. No more, no less.

I'm not too sure about this but i've read somewhere (or have been told) that, yes, it is true we have the lowest membership, but that alot of Melbourne supporters also have MCC membership and therefore see no reason to pay the club membership.

This would entail that we actually do have a pretty decent number of supporters, they are just a bunch of financially observant chaps.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
