Great news if true. Any hint to your source?

Um lol yeah ok. Not like the person is going to find out anyway. Was speaking to the son of the fella who runs The Slade Group, anyway there conducting the whole search. But yeah I asked him last night and he said Cook was the Dees's no1 target

And where's the problem? At least he or she has named the source of his info.

I think we're all still stinging from the whole Chris Juda$ affair.

I'll bet the Slade Group has a problem with it.

Lol well its still all speculative. But yeah thats what I got told

big difference between us wanting him and cook being very keen to join us.

Is that what you are suggesting - Cook wants to join us ?

A newpaper report recently suggests otherwise.

from what we're hearing it sounds like it's going to be a good result... lets hope it comes through...

Whatever Happens we are going to get a great person. We have all got to stick behind the club big time, whatever happens

Is McNamee not under contract with Golf Australia still? How much will it cost us to buy him out of that contract, given he was poached from Tennis Australia to take that post up? And whats to stop another bigger organisation in 9 months time liking what he’s done poaching him from us, given his apparent scant regard for a binding contract.

Having said that, I’d love to get him as he’s been very aggressive and progressive and most of all successful at both of the aforementioned gigs..

The golf job is only 2 days a week and he is seeking full time employment - this won't be a problem

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

A few years ago, the Melbourne Football Club produced a documentary about the decade in which it rose from its dystopic purgatory of regular thrashings to the euphoria of a premiership victory. That entire period could have been compressed in a fast motion version of the 2025 season to date as the Demons went from embarrassing basket case to glorious winner in an unexpected victory over the Dockers last Saturday. They transformed in a single week from a team that put in a pedestrian effort of predictably kicking the ball long down the line into attack that made a very ordinary Bombers outfit look like worldbeaters into a slick, fast moving side with urgency and a willingness to handball and create play with shorter kicks and by changing angles to generate an element of chaos that yielded six goals in each of the opening quarters against Freo.
