No doubt you all got the members survery via email

It is important that we all fill this out, and be honest in our answers. And hopefully the club will use the data effectively and not pick and choose the statistics

I think an important question from the surbvey was 'How do you rate the MCG in terms of it being our 'home-ground'?

On a scale of 1-10, I voted 0.

I think the club need to do everything in its power to make the MCG our home again

I won't see the survey until I get home however on the basis of what you are say if everyone answers 0 to 3 on this answer the club will consider that the members don't see the MCG as our home ground, and will perhaps look for a sweet deal to play our games at TD or more home games interstate.

I think I would answer "10" to this question, and as you say, encourage the club to make the MCG our home.

Perhaps I am interpreting it wrong.

In giving your esteemed rating did you provide suggestions to the Club on how they can improve on the "0" or do you think your cryptic answer sends a potent and informative message that's will benefit all?

There was no section to give suggestions on how to improve that area

Actually maybe there was. I remmber filling out a bit saying that the MFC must do everything in its power to take back the MCG as our home ground.

it still is our prodominant home ground and we did as much as we could after the season to ensure our main aim in the new fixture, which was to get as many MCG games as we could....the more relocations, the more the MCG will become ours. that is why i am encouraging it...i feel very sorry for north fans however, they'll move out from TD and hopefully an MCG club will then switch to TD and same if the doggies go north, freeing up our beloved MCG.. melbourne aint moving in my life time!!!!

I agree. Think I rated it about a 2 or 3. In particular it pieces me off that highlights are shown at the end of quarters of 'away' teams and MFC supporter groups are spread all over the place. The trumpeter is playing a lone hand in trying to rebuild a home environment.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
