Of that list, only Glass and McIntosh were top picks. And by top pick I mean top 10 rather than top 5.

I am of the same opinion that midfielders are the safest bet with a top 5 pick, as they are basically capable of playing straight away so you don't need to guess whether they will improve to AFL level. The other one is power forwards, as the risk you take is far outweighed by the reward that you get if they end up being good players.

I would be looking at a midfielder (which we need) with pick 4, but would draft a power forward if he was the best player available.

thats rediculous not drafting for backman, you will find (except the super freaks) that most kids in the junior ranks that play back make better forwards.

No doubt, as per my comment "except for superfreaks" the blokes you names would all go down in the group of best backman ever to represent their club. Nothing wrong with drafting a backman and trying them at any end and lets be honest positions probably dont matter so much in the u/18s, its your skills, athleticism and size that count, clubs will look for what they want and then mould them to play wherever they need.

Would be delighted if it happened, but I'm highly doubtful. If it was a soft-tissue injury maybe some would have doubts, but not a broken ankle. He has massive raps on him from way back before the U-18 championships. If he had of performed at the U-18s I think theres every chance he'd be rivaling Kruezer for the No. 1 spot.

We've gotta take best available. If CAC believes its a ruckman or KPP or midfielder, it doesn't matter, just take the best player!!

I think he may actually be Fijian - don't know much about him but KB was drooling over him on SEN a couple of weeks ago. May be a fair bit taller too (200cm+)
