Didnt even make the top 10. DISGRACEFUL. The voters should be ashamed. Bell was easily one of our best 3 or 4 all year

another year Travis Johnstone doesnt make top10 b&f!!!

absolutely pathetic!!!

thatis why he should be traded while he still has market value!

he is a disgrace. for someone of his talent, he should be top 5 in our bnf every year, and should be taking the afl by storm.

shame on u Johnstone. only 1 top10 bnf in 9 years at the club!

also,

good on Matthew Bate. i thought he had a fantastic year. he will hold down CHF in the future and will absolute dominate. sticky hands, great footy brain and good goal sense.

Bate, Mclean, Sylvia and Rivers and the only 4 players on our list capable of being A+ players.

let's hope they perform better than our potential stars of old (johnstone/green/bruce) who never became A- graders

agree... i dont think he was worthy of top 5.... but he did play some good games and really developed..... mclean out... and slip bell in at 8

swap white with davey and brown with robbo

Im not a fan of Bell but how McLean made a spot and not Daniel is stupid to say the least

Absolute joke!

Belly, even though he missed some games through injury, was our best and most consistent defender all year. Or is this like the Brownlow medal, no votes given to defenders?

Davey making the top 5 is puzzling. He had a horrible year, in fact, his worst year to date.

At least the people in charge of voting are no longer a part of our club. I think it's fair to say that October 1, 2007 will go down as a day to forget for the MFC.

The results absolutely reflect the year from hell that we had .

IMO for Bate to come third and Davey fifth suggests masssive dilemmas were faced by the voting panel in their struggles to find anyone worthy of giving votes to - the former was very ordinary and the latter was very poor .

Bell should be in and above davey, bruce, mclean, brown and robbo. my top 5 would have gone

mcdonald

jones

green

bell

white

thats [censored], those who awarded those should never do so again.

How many games did he miss? He had a really good year, but maybe his missed games cost him too much.

I would have stopped awarding anything after the top 4.

The rest didn't deserve to be classified as top 10.

In fairness:

1. James McDonald - 21 games, 489 possessions @ 23/game (1), 131 tackles (1), 3 goals

2. Nathan Jones - 21 games, 365 possessions @ 17/game, 86 tackles (2), 10 goals

3. Matthew Bate - 19 games, 294 possessions @ 15/game, 94 marks @ 5/game, 59 tackles, 19 goals (4)

4. Brad Green - 18 games, 384 possessions @ 21/game (3), 117 marks @ 6/game (4), 49 tackles, 13 goals

5. Aaron Davey - 18 games, 258 possessions @ 14/game, 74 tackles (3), 24 goals (3)

6. Cameron Bruce - 16 games, 377 possessions @ 23/game (4), 96 marks @ 6/game (5), 66 tackles (5), 9 goals

7. Jeff White - 22 games, 356 possessions @ 16/game, 127 marks @ 6/game (2), 461 hitouts, 41 tackles, 7 goals

8. Brock McLean - 14 games, 254 possessions @18/game, 60 tackles, 4 goals

9. Nathan Brown - 19 games, 416 possessions @ 22/game (2), 137 marks @ 7/game (1), 46 tackles, 3 goals

10. Russell Robertson - 15 games, 169 possessions @ 11/game, 85 marks @ 6/game, 10 tackles, 42 goals (1)

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. TRAINING: Wednesday 13th November 2024

A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers braved the rain and headed down to Gosch's paddock to bring you their observations from the second day of Preseason training for the 1st to 4th Year players. DITCHA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I attended some of the training today. Richo spoke to me and said not to believe what is in the media, as we will good this year. Jefferson and Kentfield looked big and strong.  Petty was doing all the training. Adams looked like he was in rehab.  KE

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
