I just jumped in the car to go get some milk, and whoever is hosting SEN received a message asking about Judd, and the host said that in the last 12 hours his mail was that the Pies were "absolute frontrunners". Not what i wanted to hear, but just thought i'd share it.

For my mind Collingwood have the facilities, but we will have quite good facilities late next year. For my mind, there are too many rumours saying one way - Hutchie, BT, Sheehan etc are all saying his a demon and now its just down to how the trade will go.

Not quite. Sheahan hasn't said anything. If Iron Mike put it out there I would be sold, because he only ever reports the bleeding obvious. Hutchie and BT are excellent sources though.

Milk was a bad choice.

I thought I heard that Sheehan said it was likely on before the game?? Didnt see it myself so its hard to know.

Hutchie got Bailey right and a few others, but after Brian Taylor's call on MMM yesterday Ive been excited. I dont think Hutchie would make that statement without something behind it.

That being said, I find it hard to believe that Eddie wont throw everything his got to get him.

Nah BT said it on Before the Bounce on friday. Sheahan sort of smiled and nodded.

Steady EDDIE cant always get what he wants. What happened with J.Brown and N.Stevens and F.Gehrig. i cant see judd going anywhere else but melbourne there has to be some evidence otherwise renowned media journos wouldnt report it.

All i know is every supporters is losing hair at a fast rate from the stress!!

I think if Judd ever logged on to Demonland and saw all this, he'd be like 'OK NO..not going to Melbourne..psychos'!

:( Just tell us.

think he may also find that passionate melbourne supporters DO exist

... renowned media journos ...

Careful now. Media journalists would on average get it wrong more than they can get it right. What matters is that people will listen and read to whatever they think of - and if that gets a wide audience then it gets publicity and money in the coffers.

We're all living on this earth to earn money, no?

Here we go! Another kid just finished batting off at BigFooty and came up with a trade which inevitably involves Richmond and West Coast, in which we lose Pick 4, 21 and Brock McLean and gain Chris Judd with ... Jay Schulz.

Somebody said he's been on the turps, I just reckon he didn't water down his raspberry cordial enough.

Just saw this on the Age message boards.

Not worth much, I know. But I'm bored and we're getting nothing, so I thought I'd post this to try and raise some positivity. Yes, I know, I'm going mad. It's finally actually happening, after threatening for so long. I'm starting to clutch at straws, much like a Carlton supporter.

Not that it's earth shattering news, but I can say he's made up his mind. I don't know which club, but he knows where he's going.

Sheahan hasn't said anything.

Sheehan has consistently said he's going to the Pies. Even as late as yesterday on Ten's GF preview.

Got a message from this bloke (i promised I wouldn't say who) who does business with a MFC board member. He's been told by said person that Judd has picked us but I can't confirm how reliable this info is.

Do you know how recently your bloke spoke to his contact? Just trying to guage the age of the info

cheers

Am wondering if things have changed since your bloke got his info. Worried that wobblewood has stitched up a deal while everyone else was looking the other way

i suspect something happened late on Friday that turned the whole thing on its head. I have no evidence, but I'm certain we had him and Collingwood, and possibly Carlton, have come back with plan b and c that has thrown a spanner in the works.

Friday I believe.

If all this is wrong and Judd does decide to go to Collingwood then he will instantly become the most hated player in the comp. Eagles won't be happy because Collingwood offer is the worst. Carlton and Essendon fans both hate Collingwood anyway and the general consensus from opposition supporters is that if their team doesn't get him they'd be happy for him to go to the club he barracked for as a kid. It would be a sign that he's more interested in money and luxury than anything else.

Any idea what happened?

god no. I've been on the [censored] or sleeping for 48 hours. Just speculating kit.

Sheahan doesn t KNOW where Judds going.. just suspects in his "logic' thats that where he'd proably go

i can post what i want when i want.....

Demon2, this line - such as it is - reminds me of the kid in the purple low-hanging jeans from Barnyard. He ends up DIT (doin' it tough). Make sure that you put a bit of distance between yourself and this individual with hard-to-meet-needs.

Biffinator.

Yes, I know. Thanks.

Don't know what I'd do without you.

very interesting deers......your spreading rumours......i guess hypocracy isn't in your vocabulary

I guess hypocrisy isn't in your vocabularly either.

What makes everyone think he's not intersted in money and luxry? because he stated it's not about money? I agree with Jarka in that he will be the most hated player if he goes to Collingwood and will prove that's what he was all about all along. But I've always thought it's probably about the money and facilities. I'd love to eat my words but...

  • PREVIEW: Gold Coast

The Gold Coast Suns find themselves outside of the top eight for the first time since Round 1 with pressure is mounting on the entire organisation. Their coach Damien Hardwick expressed his frustration at his team’s condition last week by making a middle-finger gesture on television that earned him a fine for his troubles. He showed his desperation by claiming that Fox should pick up the tab.  There’s little doubt the Suns have shown improvement in 2025, and their position on the ladder is influenced to some extent by having played fewer games than their rivals for a playoff role at the end of the season, courtesy of the disruption caused by Cyclone Alfred in March.  However, they are following the same trajectory that hindered the club in past years whenever they appeared to be nearing their potential. As a consequence, that Hardwick gesture should be considered as more than a mere behavioral lapse. It’s a distress signal that does not bode well for the Queenslanders. While the Suns are eager to remain in contention with the top eight, Melbourne faces its own crisis, which is similarly deep-seated but in a much different way. After recovering from a disappointing start to the season and nearing a return to respectability among its peer clubs, the Demons have experienced a decline in status, driven by the fact that while their form has been reasonable (see their performance against the ladder leader in the Kings Birthday match), their conversion in front of goal is poor enough to rank last in the competition. Furthermore, their opponents find them exceptionally easy to score against. As a result, they have effectively eliminated themselves from the finals race and are again positioned to finish in the bottom half of the ladder.

  • REPORT: Port Adelaide

Of course, it’s not the backline, you might argue and you would probably be right. It’s the boot studder (do they still have them?), the midfield, the recruiting staff, the forward line, the kicking coach, the Board, the interchange bench, the supporters, the folk at Casey, the head coach and the club psychologist  It’s all of them and all of us for having expectations that were sufficiently high to have believed three weeks ago that a restoration of the Melbourne team to a position where we might still be in contention for a finals berth when the time for the midseason bye arrived. Now let’s look at what happened over the period of time since Melbourne overwhelmed the Sydney Swans at the MCG in late May when it kicked 8.2 to 5.3 in the final quarter (and that was after scoring 3.8 to two straight goals in the second term).

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.
