interesting, who would you rather trade, frawley or petterd? i like them both, petterd has shown more at this stage, but KP backs are hard to find, and if frawley comes on i think he will be more valuable in the long run, if not a better player.

I'm not totally on top of it, what exactly did hutchy say?

Essentially the same as Brian Taylor; ie. that a deal was close. I think he even suggested, like BT, that an announcement was close on Friday, but was put off for some reason. He also believes that Frawley will be part of the deal. That's just based on what someone here and someone else over at 'ology said. This was at the AFL GF Lunch on Friday, by the way.

I like petterd a lot, but your right a good FB is hard to find and if chip becomes that well i think he would be the better keep, don't want to lose petterd though, i think he is great.

I'd keep Petterd ahead of Frawley any day of the week. He's going to be something special.

Would be Petterd in a heartbeat at this stage. He had a terrific game against Sydney, but half-back flankers are very common. KP backs, as you say, are about as rare as Hen's teeth. Once Frawley puts on a bit of weight and learns to kick, he'll start to show what he can do.

yes...in true MacAvaney speak... he's "Specccccialllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll !! " :)

Petterd is a freak

he was an anorexic 18 year old who throw himself at contests with no fear for his safety. he also finds the ball, has great speed and superb skills

Id rather trade Travis Johnstone for pick 9

And yet he is an Emergency on your "Squad of '08". Talk about sending mixed messages.

So what?

He's going to Collingwood.

So what?

So what? You give Petterd massive praise, call him a "freak" and yet if you were coaching in 2008 he would not get a game with a fully fit squad to choose from. It sends mixed messages: if he were a "freak" he would be good enough to play, no? Not even a chance on the interchange?

Of course he is a chance on the interhchange

Even to start on the ground

Tell me who you would replace him with in my starting 22?

Looks like we're getting nothing today from the main man. Unless he can conjure up a press conference or whatever on a whim, you'd expect something by now. That idiot rep at sportsbet can choke on his words.

This is not about me. Don't go trying to twist this argument.

There is no argument

He has played 8 or 9 games and almost died as well , I dont see whats wrong with him mstarting the season as an emergency

haha deers mate, yze_magic has you there. if you cant work out who should be dropped in favour of petterd why should yze_magic? he says the kid is a gun...he didnt say he was our best player, and he didnt say he was starting 22. you find where you should put him in and then i'm sure you'll have a discussion...

Just saw this on the Age message boards.

Now. The truth about Chris Judd. No one really knows what he is thinking. But i do. And i'm not gunna say much. Other than, he will play for Melbourne. Carlton, collingwood, Essendon, sorry. But u never underestimate a boys childhood dream!!!!

Not worth much, I know. But I'm bored and we're getting nothing, so I thought I'd post this to try and raise some positivity. Yes, I know, I'm going mad. It's finally actually happening, after threatening for so long. I'm starting to clutch at straws, much like a Carlton supporter.

was it written by his MUM ???:lol::lol:

Haha I wish. By 'Matthew' apparently. Anybody know if Juddy has a good mate named Matthew? Or a close relative named Matthew? Please god...

God i hope it was :)

I have a feeling that tomorrow on SEN i will hear that a press conference has been called at 2pm about the future of Chris Judd.

And when i hear that i will not be able to concentrate on anything, which is bad when you work with power tools! :o

'All the information points to Collingwood if you ask me. He wanted the best facilities, the best footy department and a chance of winning a flag, now as much as we dislike Collingwood, with Judd entered into the side which lost to the cats by 5 points.... things could have been very different. '

I disagree with this. West Coast have made a point in recent years of not trading with Collingwood. And Collingwood performed this year for two reasons - one being Medhurst and the other _MAJOR_ one was because better teams underperformed. Adelaide had a poor year, West Coast were under-manned, teh saints and the Dees didnt perform at all. Collingwood nearly beat Geelong because they paniced, not because they were nearly as good as them.

For my mind Collingwood have the facilities, but we will have quite good facilities late next year. For my mind, there are too many rumours saying one way - Hutchie, BT, Sheehan etc are all saying his a demon and now its just down to how the trade will go.

Also from what Ive heard he had to nominate two clubs - being most likely the dees and collingwood - Melbourne would be more willing to trade better players than a performing collingwood side. I think all indicators have us firmly favourites - as we are at sportsbet - $1.70

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
