Sumich to Blues ???

Have to admit its rather clever.. bit silly though possibly if it doesnt get the desired result !!

Smacks of desperation more than ingenuity though ..time will tell.

Don't think an assistant coach is going to make any difference now. Isn't he mates with Ball ? but he hasn't chosen St Kilda.

What will be interesting is West coast going to be annoyed he is being poached - not for a senior coach but assistant coach which is where he is at in his career.

Think West Coast should shun the blues for trying to poach him and not deal with them at all for Judd.

Wishful thinking.

I agree...but its rather intersting the lengths clubs are going to !! lol

Don't see what this has to do with Judd...?

Doesn't matter how lateral any club thinks. He is going to the filthy, disgusting, god darn rotten pies. And I will HATE him for it, however, it is so going to happen.

Judd and Sumich have a very good working relationship. clearer ?

Carlton have already kicked the bucket if you ask me. This is just more evidence. They are so desperate it's disgusting. I almost feel sorry for them. But then I don't.

Now go sit in the corner... and have a good long think about that..

come back when you feel better !! hehehe :)

There was a quote from Sumich yesterday after him being turned down for the senior Essendon coaching job, that said (and please don't quote me this is not exact but if definitely close) that he had been offered a "few" or a "couple" of senior assistant coaching positions with other Melbourne clubs.

I guess what I am saying is that Carlton may not be the only Victorian club looking at obtaining Sumich's services........

Hmmmmm !!!!... I neglected to see that point of view..

Hehe.. its all a circus isnt it.. !! if we weret all barking mad to start with this would have sent us for sure !!

The difference is, and I am not saying that we have had anything to do with Sumich (although we are a little short on assistant coaches right now) is that we would never announce it unless it was fact (hopefully), and would therefore not appear quite as desperate as poor old Carlton seem to at this point in time.

More like 'Blues getting desperate'

Great idea. Let's appoint a guy as an assistant and bring him halfway across the country just in the hope that he might lure lure Chris Judd into the fold. Never mind if he's up to the job, let's just do it.

Sounds typical crass moneybags Carlton Football Club.

Like the one about Dick Pratt trying to impress the greeny in Judd by hosting Al Gore at Raheen.

An intelligent bloke like Judd would see right through that one.

Sad isn't it

And that is why Judd would never go to Carlton

Pratt just seems like a walking embarrassment, which works out well cos he is president of an absolute rabble

Not happening. On the news over here just now that Suma has turned down offers from both Essendon and Carlton and is almost certain to stay at the franchise.

Essendon were gonna try and do the Sumich/Judd combo - the fact they didnt and his gone to Carlton demonstrates for my mind that Judd has either gone to Melbourne or Collingwood.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.

It’s Game Day, and the Demons return to the MCG wounded, undermanned and desperate. Still searching for their first win of the season, Melbourne faces a daunting task against the Fremantle Dockers. With key pillars missing at both ends of the ground, the Dees must find a way to rise above the adversity and ignite their season before it slips way beyond reach. Will today be the spark that turns it all around, or are we staring down the barrel of a 0–6 start?
