R - Kreuzer McLean McDonald

IC - White Reilly Moloney Petterd

Emer - Robertson Yze Pickett Wheatley P.Johnson Bode Frawley etc...

YM, if you keep posting possible trade you'll eventually get one that will be close, my guess is that you'll need about 42 more though.

My offer

Cameron Bruce , pick 18, pick 21 and Brad Miller

i thought bruce and pick 18 were going to the Roos for Wells

Melbourne aren't the only team wanting Rutten so the odds are pritty low. I'd rather get wells.

why don't you make one trade thread with all your trade theories in it? would save a bit of room, it's still a month before october rolls around

Apparently Wells suffered a knee injury at training yesterday. Just thought it would be worth posting. They don't know the exntent of the damage yet though.

I get the feeling that any moment now Chilliboy is going to turn up around here. Can't wait!

Yep Adelaide will really look to trade a gun FB like Rutten. Last line gorilla defenders are expendable

Haha this trate is stupid...yeha and lets pick up Judd too while were at it...oh and Cox and Sandilands, and Johno Brown. Adel would never give him up even for a 1st rounder

Spot on.

Why are trades always posted that are potentially good for MFC and absolutely rotten for the counterparty on this site?

Not sure you could call that trade rotten for Adelaide. Reilly is decent but fringe and Rutten is very good but with an ageing midfield they pick up a quality 26 year old goal kicking midfielder and two very early second round picks plus the speculative trade of Miller.

They give up a high quality hard to find AA FB, an AFL standard player for a one paced middle of the road midfielder (how many goals has he kicked this year from the midfield?) and a NQR below AFL standard player and two second round picks.

Rutten would command more.

I would do it in a flash. Its a stinker for Adelaide

Never gonna happen.

The Wells thread was more realistic. Rutten won't go anywhere.

How the hell is Kreuzer in this team?

At what stage did Melbourne recieve the No.1 pick in the draft?

Think YM is assuming the Tigers will win and we will loose.

What about...

Bruce and White to St.Kilda

St.Kilda's first pick (9 or 10) to Brisbane

Charman to Melbourne

No

Why not?

Isn't everyone a winner?

I like it Gouga!

Would absolutely love Jamie Charman at Melbourne. Problem is, I really can't see Brisbane letting him go.

They are more likely to let Woods go than Charman.

Ummm... Where does Melbourne win in that one? We give up a decent player that just struggles to dispose of the ball by hand or foot (Can be worked on pre-season) and one decent, but fading ruckman who will quite often win the tap, but the mid-field isn't there for the clearance.

In return we receive Charman who is vastly inferior to White and much more injury prone. St Kilda is the only winner there.

The only reason Brisbane would let him go is because he wants a 5 year contract and they are only prepared to offer 3.

Its not much but it is something.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
