King kept referencing the need for 'fresh legs' in his presser

Wouldn't be shocked to see Checkers get managed...just gut feel of course

Would allow them to play Heath some more mins

Lindsay, CJ and perhaps Hendo (lower) intensity of VFL) and Cross are the available fresh legs.

Perhaps Petty, X Taylor and Laurie could come out for CJ, Lindsay and Hendo and we manage Gawn and Mihocek in game.

We're not going to do what we did against essendon are we, we've learnt from that & we will not drop this.

Just reassure me

King and the players have talked multiple times over the past week about how they got to bogged down in results vs Essendon and have learned from that. So if it's true, they would hardly want to repeat that 2 weeks later on such a big occasion. We'll be fine.

Fox has said nothing about this match on any of its shoes - is like it doesn’t exist. On Punt Road End, they’ve already given up. Previously the match has been pumped up, why the lack of press?

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competition’s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.
