The term "woke" emerged among Black Americans as a way to describe being alert to social injustices, especially racism and inequality. It has since expanded to include issues like sexism, homophobia, misogyny, ableism ..

At its core, it’s about empathy and being accepting and tolerant of others’ experiences and ways of living their lives.

Lo and behold one day I heard a knock on the front door. When I answered the door there were two god botherers. I was shocked and asked if they saw the sign. They said yes but believed that god would look after them.

After I moved them on I went outside to look to see where the dogs were. They were both fast asleep in the back yard.

I thought that there truly must be a god. Closest I’ve come to being converted!

2 large greyhounds work well here - they have no interest in harming anything but the ginger tom cat that soils their yard.

God botherers try and convert and I've had a lot of gay friends who bemoan my lifestyle choices, but they didn't persist like the fundamntalists.

Hounds also helpful at Halloween.
