The truth hurts to hear.

I do agree to some extent. He doesn’t have that ‘dog’ in him with regards to his application on the running.

However, I just want to remark that it’s not and never will be his go.

Shane is a natural footballer and his instincts are his greatest strength and so you can’t judge him on lap running.

Let’s judge him upon his output for Casey when the time comes. There’s absolutely a player there. I’m glad he’s at least still seeing it through.

Fair comment. After a few years of being able to do little else apart from running I’d be sick to death of it too!

I've been going to training for a long time now and I've been to every Gosch's paddock session this preseason.

I'd like to congratulate those who can judge a player on attitude from what they do in rehab in preseason. He's clearly following his rehab program which is determined by the fitness staff. I've not seen him hesitant to do his program. I've not seen a negative sneer. I've seen a kid engaged with staff doing what he's been asked needing no pushing from staff.

Look I'm not predicting great things nor am I confident he'll play senior footy this year or be on the list next year but those thinking they can see inside a persons brain and know their approach while seeing just a small fraction of him and his program and drawing such definite conclusions are kidding themselves imo.

And if you think it's easy rehabbing from a torn Achilles just go ask someone who's had one. Good luck Shano!

This really is the thing. McAdam has had some frustrating things happen to him. That doesn't make him immune to accountability. But good coaches can bend the rules a little bit. Eventually there'll be things he must do out on the field. But we haven't even had a practice match.

I have noticed him at training in nearly all the sessions I have attended.
