May - better after first

Gawn - no votes today

Chandler. - strong running game

Rivers - often an observer

Petracca - important but limited

Fritsch - seemingly without passion

Salem - just a plodder

Oliver - couldn’t handle tag

Lindsay - needed more involvement

Johnson - replace with Roo

Pickett - unfortunately well held

Melksham - little drive today

Turner - a solid game

McVee - not his best

Langford - looking very tired

Windsor - poor under pressure

Langdon - untypically quiet game

Sharp - Viney obviously replaces

Sparrow - little involvement again

Bowey - little defensive drive

Petty - limited contesting effect

Lever - liability in defense

Laurie - made no difference

I enjoy your 3-Worders JB.

I concur with these 69 words, yet, we kicked seven more scores and had 17 more I50s, which baffles me that we looked so poor yet we did so well in the I50s!

All I can do is turn to a high-power: Buddha .

Buddha once said: "this is not as bad as it seems".

Anti-Saint to Buddha: "no, but our season is over and winter has only jus begun, now tthat is bad Buddha, when we have blown three seasons with poor kickin'"!

Buddha: "Anti-Saint, you win"!

Melbourne = FeS2

He's an absolute ripper 'Norm', will kick one then the monkey will be off his back.

I think Lindsay is the better player, I'm more concerned with Langford on a wing & in general. fumbles too much below his knees and gets caught out in 2 way running, would rather Windsor or Langdon back on one wing.

Lindsay is good on the other...

And Langford is too slow for the wing. Better rotating forward and in the guts.

And yes, please put Windsor back on the wing 🙏

To be fair Budda may have downed a few single malts at the time of that famous quote.

Fair enough. Just think commentators are talking him up a bit. Langford is likely tired.

Another player that should be considered lucky to play another game! Unless break glass in emergency situation!

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
