He has been our best tall defender all season. Hardly put a foot wrong. Saying omitted is an insult. If he is being tested say so.

Again, I'm not sure how this is in response to my comment. I haven't suggested he was tested. In fact, based on what I wrote, I believe if he out with an injury that was to be tested that would be listed as injured.

If you meant "rested", then again, I think if he was actually rested they would state that (managed). I think the most likely situation is that he has been omitted. Yes he has been playing well, but he has lost his spot to an overall better player.

Think of it like this:

You coach a soccer team. Your number one Goalkeeper, the best goalkeeper in the world, is out injured. So your number 2 goalkeeper comes in to play. GK 2 plays out of their skin, amazing form, better than expected. But GK1 recovers from injury and is picked in the team this week.

GK2 isn't left in the team as well because there is only spot for one GK. GK2 isn't managed or rested, they are omitted. Not due to form, but because others have been selected ahead of them.

I did alter it deanox. Should have said rested. I think I was agreeing with you.

If that is the worst thing that happens to me today I will be very happy.

Does anyone seriously think TMac gives a rats what the team sheet says. He’s 42 and will likely be playing plenty more football this year.

No but many plebs like myself give a rats about T-Mac

'Managed' it should've been as only a recent arrival from mars would've omitted him, not having witnessed his body of work this year, which has mostly been superb.

It's the little things that make a club great.

Yes, like picking the better team regardless of who you have to leave out.

TMac has been omitted. Says it on the team sheet. Preferred KPD trio is now Lever, May, Turner. Tom will not play again while those 3 are available unless we come up against a team with lots of tall forwards.

"Rested" would imply that he will come back in next week, but I'd be very surprised if that was the case. We always have at least one tall as emergency, so that's his role for this week at least.

I'm not sure how that's relevant to my post but anyways.

Hopefully that's a five year career ending foot injury for the turdsta

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
