At the G Saturday night with 70000 others enjoying a great concert.

And the drummer proudly wearing the jumper!  (Apologies for the quality of the photo)

Hope every one enjoys the break and stays safe

 Go Dees.

Was a great surprise, and when Billy announced him, I tried on my best ‘Go Dees!’. Got a few laughs only…..not enough Dees supporters there. Brillant gig though…..what a playlist!!!

Q:  Why do Billy Joel's eyes bulge like they do?

A:  He STILL can't believe he was married to Christie Brinkley.   Yes, it's an oldie.

I just posted a similar pic in another thread. I wasn’t there but my friend was and sent sent me the pic.

I wonder if it’s only while playing in Melb that he wears it.

It must have been a ripper, frankie! (And from the subsequent posters - and @WalkingCivilWar's buddy - it looks like there won't be any debate this time about which team had the best home-game-at-the-'G support! 😉)

Your post sent me down the Google rabbit hole: Charles Arnold 'Chuck' Burgi III, American (what else with that name?!) long-time Joel band drummer. No evident connection with the Dees but publicity photos seem to show a penchant for the red and blue (good man!) e.g. Spiderman merch. Possibly a Dees supporter in MCG event management (there'd be a few!😄) was onto this and jumped at the chance?

The Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, falling to 0–4 after a more spirited showing against the Cats at Kardinia Park. Despite the improved effort, they went down by 39 points, and the road ahead is looking increasingly grim.

It's Game Day, and reinforcements are finally arriving for the Demons—but will it be too little, too late? They're heading down the freeway to face a Cats side returning home to their fortress after two straight losses, desperate to reignite their own season. Can the Demons breathe new life into their campaign, or will it slip even further from their grasp?

"It's officially time for some alarm bells. I'm concerned about the lack of impact from their best players." This comment about one of the teams contesting this Friday night’s game came earlier in the week from a so-called expert radio commentator by the name of Kane Cornes. He wasn’t referring to the Melbourne Football Club but rather, this week’s home side, Geelong. The Cats are purring along with 1 win and 2 defeats and a percentage of 126.2 (courtesy of a big win at GMHBA Stadium in Round 1 vs Fremantle) which is one win more than Melbourne and double the percentage so I guess that, in the case of the Demons, its not just alarm bells, but distress signals. But don’t rely on me. Listen to Cornes who said this week about Melbourne:- “They can’t run. If you can’t run at speed and get out of the contest then you’re in trouble.
