Demon Dynasty 17,163 Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 (edited) The FD's been trialling Joel up forward (mostly) at Casey (and if my memory serves me correct i understand they trained him in this role also?) when he came back from injury. Unless there's a change to the FD's thinking over the break i can't see him playing back in 2023 (barring injuries). Edited October 2, 2022 by Demon Dynasty 1 Quote

I'm predicting him to be our big improver. He's more than due not to get injured. 1 Quote

layzie 34,528 Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 I like Joel Smith but if he's starting in our back 6 we could be in strife 2 Quote
DeeSpencer 26,667 Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 Tim Lamb today: "We've got some other options with the talls on our list, so Goody and the coaches are really open to being quite creative with some of the talent we've already got there" Whilst that might mean J. Smith, Howes or even Turner at CHF to me that's as strong as an indication as we've seen of Petty forward 2023. Quote
MrFreeze 2,051 Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 (edited) I would be interested in mimicking Collingwoods forward structure. 2 rotating rucks with 3 medium talls. Could look like Pickett Grundy/Gawn Spargo Sheezel Fritsch Petracca Or Pickett Grundy/Gawn Spargo Fritsch JVR/Petty Sheezel Edited October 3, 2022 by MrFreeze 1 Quote
