Watching Dees in Saigon

Featured Replies

Hey guys. I'm going to be in Saigon when we play against Collingwood on the 5th August. Anyone know of a bar in Saigon that I can watch the game at?

Cheers!

Check whether your hotel has Australia Network as a back up

There are few bars down “Walking Street” in Bui Vien, next to District 1.
I’d walk by night/day before check which ones are showing AFL and enquire.

I’ve kinda been based Vung Tau (2 hours south by ferry or bus) last 8 years - Covid excepted.
Expat Aussie popn down there and I can recommend Tommy’s Bar.
Mine host, Rob from Hobart is ex Camberwell, Hawk supporter and mate of Gary Baker.

Currently I’m in Luzon, Philippines and have AFL LIVE on my phone. $40 month - all games.
They do a weekly subscription as well I think.

Message back for further info

Phattys sports bar in District 1 used to show live games. Not sure if they still do, but it could be worth messaging them on Facebook.

  • PREVIEW: Brisbnae

They really had me fooled when I picked them with great confidence to beat the Bombers at Gather Round last week. I should have recognised that nothing is more quintessentially Melbourne than defeating the undefeated early premiership favourite one week and losing to a winless cellar dweller on its way to establishing a record losing streak the next.

Melbourne’s much vaunted finishing power evaporated at Adelaide Oval on Saturday afternoon, exposed for the third time in four years by its Essendon Gather Round hoodoo.
