Or this current decade. 21 Dees and 2 Hawks, same as 2007- 15 but inn reverse

Sorry but it is not 2015 to 2021 Demons 31 to Hawks 2.

The following Hawks are certainties

Sam Mitchell , Jaeger Omeara Sicily Silk and Like Bruest and possibly Jack Gunston.

That's  6   Those from our GF side who would not beat these 6 for experience consistency ability and team discipline over a decade or a 5 year  period are:

Petty Spargo Jordon Sparrow ANB and Harmesy.

Thsts not too denigrate any of our players but the above group have only played ONE season of note and not even established a regulation spot yet in our best 23. ( They all deserve to be selected in Round1 however as premiership players)

But if you had to select players over the 5 years those 6 Hawks are ahead as of end of 2021.

End  of 2023/4/5 very different story probably.

I was also a huge B.Lovett (and G.Lovett) fan back in the day.  My sister actually went to girl guides with one of Brett's nieces who's parents ran the family plant nursery (where I believe Brett also worked sometimes?) in Box Hill.

Yep, he referred to himself as a ‘landscaper’ when asked his occupation. I was such a Brett Lovett tragic as a kid that I told my mum and dad if I wasn’t going to be a footballer I wanted to be a landscaper.

Today I live in an apartment and own exactly one plastic plant.

O'Meara is not a certainty I think his career has been very disappointing for the Hawks. Give me Petty over Sicily any day. It's Tom Mitchell Sam is the coach.

That is true and I don't diagree, but Salem has both.

While Salem hasn't had quite the same longevity as a footballer yet, he does have the claim of being a premership player and brilliant performance over that season overall and the GF when it really counts.

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
