Watch this space!

Indeed it was EO!

I could clearly see that it was divisible by 11 or 3 but was stuck on looking at it as a singular team reference to cricket...

All current players. What links them?

Backs:

Jake Lever   Stephen May   Zach Tuohy

Christian Salem  Jarryn Geary   Caleb Daniel

Mids:

James Harmes   Max Gawn    Bailey Dale

Quinton Narkle    Dion Prestia   Jack Viney

Forwards:

Majak Daw   Jeremy Cameron   Rory Lobb

Joe Daniher   Tim English    Toby Greene

Interchange:

(from) Paddy Ryder   Dom Sheed   Shaun Higgins   Brandon Ellis   Sydney Stack  Taylor Garner   Ollie Wines

Coach: Brett Ratten

Incidentally, this team has two things in common with this year’s AA team: (1) there’s AT LEAST seven Dees ?  and (2) it’s an on-paper team only. Ie, they’re never gonna play as a team.
This is NOT a clue. I only mentioned it as I suspect there’ll be some posters, not mentioning names, who will be only too happy to get all up in my grill about positioning.

It's nice to have others putting up their puzzles as it gives me a chance to play.

You should be warned that I still have another ten or so of my mindbenders in the bank!

Demonstone's positioning was masterful. I copped out by just listing. Brave play WCW.

Your one is good 'un, WCW.  Quality over quantity I reckon!

There's a hint of PM-ed success there, 'stone!?

I like the PM-ing approach, as Mazer took with mine. Corollary house rule, then: the puzzler will notify us when they have correct weight/s (also means the agonising hinting ain't far away, too!?)

Is there any footy on this weekend?...

I hadn't cracked it when I posted that, but I think I may have just found the answer and have sent a PM.

Seeing as I was wrong, I can share my incorrect answer and prevent anybody else falling for the same trap.

I thought all the players had at some stage suffered either a knee reco, a broken leg or a serious leg injury.

Looks like I haven't got a leg to stand on!

I feel like a request for a clue is in the offing. I do hope it’s @Demonstone who makes the request because I am looking forward to giving him the answer he once gave me when I requested a clue. Cbf searching for his response, but I don’t need to as it’s permanently etched in my memory. Just as one always involuntarily commits to memory  anything that makes one want to throttle the person who said it.
His answer:

“Short answer: No!

Long answer: Noooooooooo!”

Get where I’m coming from? ?

I'll save you, demonstone!

WCW - Can you confirm it's nothing to do with a) the individuals' football careers or b) football in general (I guess that's a request for 2 clues...) i.e. it's of the drummer/wicketkeeper - or some other? - category.

Yes, it has nothing to do with football.
Or wicketkeepers. Or drummers. ?

I clued in my opening sentence. Have you clued anywhere yet?

Meanwhile, 'on-purpose' footy reference: In the absence of Demon Army and MCC members, Dees by only 4 goals tomorrow.

They are linked by the fact that none of them have anything in common… at all… in any way… nada… nothing

My opener was “all current players. What links them?”

If you can get a clue outta that you’re a better man than I am, Gunga Din.
The above isn’t a clue. But this is…

Rory Laird was a late withdrawal; although he technically warrants a place in this squad, he was deemed too obscure. He was replaced by Quinton Narkle who fits into this side, albeit to a lesser degree than his teammates.

The time has passed for PMs which means I can now make a fool of myself in public.

Could it be that they all share first names that sound like the first names of basketballers?

If it is, can I claim Tin? I'd just decided to go down the Majak>Magic inquiry line when your post pinged in, d.

Football: Nice to see Vanders get another go. Hope he can cement a spot (and monster a few of the Hawk newbies!)

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. TRAINING: Wednesday 13th November 2024

A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers braved the rain and headed down to Gosch's paddock to bring you their observations from the second day of Preseason training for the 1st to 4th Year players. DITCHA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I attended some of the training today. Richo spoke to me and said not to believe what is in the media, as we will good this year. Jefferson and Kentfield looked big and strong.  Petty was doing all the training. Adams looked like he was in rehab.  KE

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
