Colins Back!!

From the article linked above-

'Fagan said the highly regarded midfielder...would probably be up for senior selection within a fortnight'

Does this mean monday? I think more likely against Geelong.

Monday be good to unleash him

Underdone - We need him for the long term

Hold him back until Cherry Ripe

I love the kid & want to see him string many games together like he produced in Brisbane last year.

Agree with Old Man Rivers wait until he is ready then show the world what he is made of!!

Very misleading thread title. But good news to see he's "over the osteitis" as Fagan puts it. While I've heard it before and been let down in the past, from what I've seen of Colin in recent weeks it could well be true. Week 3, which is Sunday I believe, for Colin.

Col needs to grow a footy brain. He's got unproven potential but still plays like a kid in the U14's. Go for the speccy and show off a bit. He's got to learn to be a team player.

I can just see it. Col and Fergy are playing for Sandy. Ball floats high towards the flank. Write your own script.

Col won't play this week, but he will the next if Yze doesn't perform. We can bring him back playing HFF with limited runs on the ball. Then after 3-4 games put him on a wing. I really rate this kid he will show us why this year.

Looks like he will be ready for the cats.

He looks in good shape, lets hope he stays that way and plays some good injury free footy.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
