Brown, Weideman and Fritsch is ideal for me, but all credit to McDonald for the year he's having.

Not sure why Hawthorn in 1971 is not on that list. Peter Hudson kicked 150 goals on his own, so add any other two players - even the full back and back pocket -  and it's better than Brisbane's 142 in 2001.

What's our best 3 Pronged Attack?

Whats the criteria for that list?

They left off Lyon, Schwarz and Jakovich who combined for 190 goals in 1994.

Probably because the article is about forward lines with three prolific goal kickers.

What I can't work out is the note that says * DENOTES PREMIERS but there are no asterisks to be seen.

It's a pretty arbitrary list. Mark Jackson and Gerard Healy kicked 153 between them in 1982. Don't know who the third best that year was, but still better than Brisbane in 2001.

I reckon our best 3 pronged attack was Mueller, Baggott and Norm Smith in 1939.

Won us a flag. Good enough for me.

The ol' joke comes to mind . . . what would you do if Jesus Christ came to Glenferrie Road . . . ?

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
